Thin CTs for Branch Circuits for Vue 3

Thin CTs for Branch Circuits for Vue 3

I have an older 1970s GE panel and it is quite cramped. I was able to get 8 branch CTs on and the main ones but I was unable to get some critical circuits due to space constraints. Circuits such as the stove, heat pump, and water heater. I was also unable to place the monitor inside the panel. For now it is floating but I will eventually get a box to house it in that sits below the panel and provides access once the wall is finished (my main project is converting the carport to heated space and re-doing the utility room with sheetrock and insulated walls).

Where can I find compatible thin 50amp CTs for my critical circuits?

Found a 2019 Bolt LT with ~38k miles. Battery replaced in 2024 at 24k. Has the driver confidence ii, comfort package, and fast charging. New tires as well. Just shy of 14k. Did not come with charging cable but dealer ordered one. Gonna be cool not needing gas.

So to preface, I've followed EVs ever since the Tesla Roadster as they are the future but could never afford one. I have a 2018 Edge with 134k miles (I put 100k on in 4 years) and well I want a commuter vehicle (especially with gas at these prices). My commute is 50 miles round trip so the Bolt handles that easily and the moderate NC temps help as well.

I drive alot. I do about 25k miles a year (includes a trip to NH to visit friends). I will be keeping my Edge for those long distance trips (I drive to NH in one go, its 15 hours with just fill ups).

I will likely be putting ~20k miles a year on any EV I buy. So far the Bolt is really the only one with capable range in my price range.

I have always struggled to feel comfortable in small cars (width for legs/hips). My 2010 fusion was the best, 2014 Sorento and 2018 Fusion are about equal and a slight downgrade from the Fusion. I sat in a 2027 Bolt and it felt good but thats way out of my price range (around 14K max). I'm going to test drive a 2018 Bolt LT on Sunday to see if it is comfortable (several specimens, all around 14K and all at ~10k miles with clean titles and new batteries).

There aren't many newer Bolts in my price range around me. I have seen a few 2022 and 2023 Bolt EUV's within 200 miles of me but all have high mileage and no battery warranty left. 2022: 170K for 11500, two 2023s: 104k for 12600 and 114k for 13900.

I am already apprehensive about spending so much on a car that already has high miles since I drive so many and it is compounded by this being my first EV and so more unknowns for me. These prices seem a little high for such high mileage.

Is high mileage ok?
