She's grown quite a bit now, and so has her love for her kuya (big brother)

I always catch them in the wee hours of the morning before a little peek of sunlight is out. Cali (the Calico) would lay beside her kuya Maksim, wherever he is. Just close enough to tickle her fur with his.

One time I saw her gently making biscuits on his snout.

I think it's amazing the kind of relationship they have. Given that previously, Maksim would always have little kitty Cali in his mouth, full of slobber.

URGENT FOSTER/ADOPTION REQUEST: Julia + 4 poopies

Julia is a stray dog who would pass by our house. We started feeding her once we noticed that she was skin and bones. A few weeks later, our neighbor informed us that she had given birth and hid her puppies underneath one of the cars.

Since the rains haven't stopped, we were worried about the survival of Julia's puppies. So we took them out from underneath, dried them off, and now house them inside our garage.

As much as we would like to care for Julia and her family, we also have a number of pets. We do not have the resources - time, effort, financials - to truly commit to this family.

To anyone who can foster/adopt, please reach out and give momma Julia and her puppies a fighting chance.

At home improvement exercises for a beginner

Hello Pickleball PH!

I'm a beginner approaching my first month since deciding to join the sport. I've been attending mostly beginner coaching and the subsequent "open plays" they have after the lessons. I can say I'm definitely ready to join beginner open plays. I feel confident with my serves and basic strikes.

I want to ask the community: how do you guys train/improve by yourself? What do you practice at home when you're off the court?

During the guided open plays, I can return the ball and am able to keep up a rally. BUT, natataranta ako slight when the ball comes over to our side of the court and while I'm able to hit it, I feel that I don't keep proper form.

I know it's difficult to simulate the moves on the court, but I want to improve at least my forehand and backhand.

If anyone wants to link up and play together, feel free to DM me! We can chat over Reclub. I'm Marikina-based as well but willing to travel to nearby areas if anyone wants a beginner partner 😄

Do I need to turn him on or something?

So I made the (fortunate) mistake of visiting an Anko store. Found myself in the pet section. Head spun and I had to control myself from filling my basket with toys. Anyway, here's Bruce. He played tug and fetch yesterday but I guess today, he's just laying with it.

It finally happened! An unblurred photo!

Bruce on his afternoon walk. He always sits on the steps near the entrance of this supermarket. Lots of foot traffic so he gets to people watch. Stray cats as well. The calicos seem to be pretty okay with him, if not annoyed.

I think he had a very fulfilling day ☀️

Yesterday, my girlfriend and I finally took Bruce out. We went to get him groomed and walk him around the mall. But the grooming took a long while. He finished by nighttime and we had a few hours to walk him around.

So, since I had to drive my mom to the same mall for an appointment, I decided to take Bruce with me. And it was the best idea ever.

I left my mom at her appointment. Walked with Bruce to the part of the mall they were having an event at. Obviously, people started to flock him. I unlatched his leash and let him run around. And run he did.

I had to run after him because it was, genuinely, his first time having access to so much space. He was confined indoors. Just laying in my neighbor's garage. Getting up now and again.

Now, people coo at him. Pet his head. Talk to him and tell him how handsome he is. He ate the grass at the pet park. He laid on cold, mall tiles.

Bruce is not my only pet. But he is another one who helps me feel fulfilled. I honestly love going out and letting people experience the joy of my pets by letting them interact with them. I also love the conversations and stories I get to exchange with a lot of people.

P.S. what do y'all think Bruce's Instagram username should be? Someone asked to take his picture and they asked me if he had one. Now I'm thinking he should!

Hi everyone! Meet Bruce!

Bruce is my grandma's neighbor's golden retriever. They're moving far away and their new house won't be able to fit their dogs so they started adopting them out.

We got this guy this week. He's been familiar with us since we visit my grandma often. He even knows the sound of our car pulling up and always welcomes us!

He is now part of a multi-pet family with a Husky, a mutt, and two kittens (dog friendly!)
