When setting upright, it says "no disc" after trying to spin up for about 20 seconds. If I hold the player upside down, it will play.

Troubleshooting Steps:

- Used compressed air to clean off the inside and laser lens.

- Tried different plugs.

- Tried multiple DVDs.

Any ideas on a fix WITHOUT having to take it to a shop?

It says "no disc" after trying to spin up for ~20 seconds. If I hold the player upside down, no really I tried it with 2 DVDs, it plays the movie. The player is 6+ years old so not surprised something wore out.

I pull into a full gas station behind a smaller SUV to fill up. I drive a minivan so it takes a while to fill my car, 11+ gallons. When I'm done and ready to leave I notice the gas cap on the car in front was off. That's strange; maybe they are inside paying and forgot to replace it. I wait a minute and the driver comes out with a cup of coffee and then proceeds to start to fill their tank. I have to back all the way out.

I'm guessing they were inside paying with cash and needed some coffee which I totally get, but just seemed oblivious at best as the gas station was full.

Edit: we pulled in at the same time, but from the responses I guess I should have posted this in AITH! LOL.

Edit2: it turns out, I’m the entitled person. I forgot I used to check/fill up my oil after getting gas.
