When do you call it?

Just got the call that the 2 blasts from our most recent cycle are aneuploid. This makes 5 cycles, 2 cancelled, 3 retrievals, 14 mature eggs, 5 blasts and zero euploid.

I know no one can answer this but myself & my partner but anyone else feel like the universe is just saying this isn’t your path? Maybe nothing but heartbreak and misery lies ahead if we keep trying.

We’ve done the testing, normal karyotypes, normal sperm DNA fragmentation. I’m 35, we’ve been at this since I was 33/34… REI has tried multiple protocols now no ideas other than us switching clinics for a second option.

I feel like in a dream world I have a family. I think I can be happy without- I do see some positives to being child free. I hate this limbo. How do I know how long to continue going through all of this?

2 year old Labrador: diarrheal illness and now hives and itching one week following routine vaccines

Took our 2 year old lab for a check up one week ago today. They were able to get a proheart 12 shot in him but could not do any other vaccines or his heart worm test because he was extremely anxious and unable to sit still.

Came back Monday after a chill protocol with trazadone and gabapentin and he was able to get his 3 year rabies, legionella and bordatella but still no heart worm test d/t anxiety and inability to cooperate. Very stressful visit trying to restrain him to get everything done.

Wednesday night and evening started having watery diarrhea, 5+ poos overnight Wednesday night and then seemed to get better before back to watery diarrhea Thursday evening/night.

We switched him to a boiled chicken/rice diet Thursday night and his GI issues seem to be improve but now he is incredibly itchy and has some mild hives around his eyes.

Not really sure what’s causing all of this, but I can’t help but think somehow vet related. Stress colitis from the vet followed by sensitivity to chicken? Do vaccine reactions show up a week later? What about the fact that he got proheart 12 without knowing his heartworm status? Everything I’ve read says his presentation is a little late for a typical vaccine reaction, would y’all agree?

I am reluctant to loop our vet in because 1- He’s so anxious and “bad” at the vet she won’t even be able to examine him in any meaningful way and 2- if this is stress related it might just make it worse.

As long as he is eating/drinking/playful otherwise is it safe to assume this GI upset/itching will be self limited regardless of etiology?

This is getting painful

Just a rant. 35, DOR been trying for just over two years. First pregnancy was an ectopic that ended in emergency surgery, started IVF last year, have only made it to retrieval 2/4 cycles due to low response. Both times I made it through retrieval made blasts but all aneuploid. Natural pregnancy in January ended in MAB and a D&C at 7 weeks. Just had a cancelled cycle converted to a trigger shot and timed intercourse, I’m DPO 10 and just tested negative.

Just sad. My husband doesn’t get it, my friends don’t get it. Friends who have gone through ivf haven’t had the path I’ve had so I don’t feel like they get it. I feel like my life is on pause, I don’t want to plan for a future that I don’t know what it will look like. I feel guilty anytime I do something not IVF related. I thought I was coping pretty well but each passing month gets harder and harder.

Lots of love to everyone else going through this.

I am just so frustrated. I’ve never met my doc in person, I am constantly dealing with different nurses and admin through the portal who are not proactive about ANYTHING. The were supposed to draw my husbands karyotype, instead repeated his infectious labs, no one at the clinic noticed the wrong labs were drawn for over a week and he had to go back. Delayed my cycle.

He was supposed to have a semen DNA fragmentation plus analysis. DNA fragmentation came back normal and he asked about the analysis- “also normal”. Come to find out they never actually did the full analysis. They say not to worry about it, but now I’m getting ready to start priming and oh “you’re not financially cleared yet”

I’m sorry but what have we been doing for the last 3 months!? I’m too late to prime this month because I didn’t let them know about my period start date… except I did, they had me come in for an US and then gave no further guidance and now it’s too late for this month because no one gave me any instruction for what to do and by the time I reached back out to the clinic we had missed our priming window.

Just a rant. I know all of this could be solved if I increased my neurosis and double checked everything and hounded them with questions at every step, but I just hate that that is how it has to be. 30k a cycle and I’m driving the ship. I hate them and I hate this whole process.
