I don’t know what an INFP is anymore.

I see posts come around and…. I found out I am rude. Like, idk why I test as an INFP. I tested twice once was a teenager and again a few months ago being in my early 20s. I am still an INFP, I thought for sure I would have gotten a different result but nope.

Are all of you guys so nice? Like… I am sensitive too but I am sensitive in private. Like, I will cuss someone out for disrespecting me and then go cry about it in my room.

I overthink too…. Then when it comes time for the decision, I say “f*** it either I make a mistake and have to fix it or I get lucky” and just make a decision on the spot.

I kinda think my brain is against me at this point because when it comes time to the hard stuff, I will do it even if I overthink it.

I lost a client because I didn’t do extra work.

Look this guy was going through a tough time. So in the first year, I did some courtesy’s for him that I should not have done because he didn’t pay me.

He was a bookkeeping client. I charged him for a specific scope of work but he actually had more than what I charged him with but promised me it will lower so I kept the quote.

He was going through a divorce, had a child, a small business, and I felt bad. The scope never got smaller.

He asked me to submit some personal claim for him for auto insurance and I told him no. He also triple, five iple, 10 iple texts me and even sometimes calls me 5 times ON MY PERSONAL NUMBER if I do not answer within an hour.

The only reason I gave him my personal number was for expense emergencies which some clients have but they do not ever call me! Only a few times was there an emergency and they had to but they do not blow me up.

I ended up purposely never answering his calls because it was always over some random thing and never business.

Anyway we had a disagreement about something he previously accepted and almost canceled. He then changed his mind and said no no I want to keep the service I like the work.

I DID NOT RESPOND FOR THREE DAYS, wanna know what days they were? SATURDAY, SUNDAY, and MONDAY. Monday I had a ton of work and meetings I had to do and my clients know I stopped working on the weekends and sometimes if they message me on Saturday they know I may not respond till Tuesday depending on my Monday workload because I literally run the place myself!

He snapped and said you are too busy for me I want to cancel. Ok buddy! I am not your personal assistant! So I canceled and honestly, I don’t even wanna do his tax return anymore moving forward. I got this guy a refund and tax credits no one else knew to put on his dang return!

So I understand I shouldn’t have provided additional courtesy services to make him think I was going to freaking submit an auto claim!!

I use to work 7 days a week… I then gave myself the dang weekend for the first time since I started this business a couple months ago and I have never had a client complain. In fact, most of my clients tell me they purposely do not send me emails till Monday so I don’t have to worry about it on the weekend! So what the heck??

Has anyone dealt with this before?

Carpe made me stink.

I sweat alot and most of the time, I actually don’t stink and have gone without deodorant often. I atill use the occasional deodorant depending on how much activity I had done throughout the day but after I shower I am good anyway.

Since I use the occasional deodorant, I wanted to stop using my liquid plastic deodorant thinking Carpe would be a better option…. I smell like a man. Excuse me???

It smells like I had eaten a ton of onion and wrnt to work on the oil rigs. I HAVE NEVER SMELLED LIKE THIS BEFORE AND I AM PETRIFIED. Literally I would have stayed home and I only went out for a coffee and only to try it out because I spent $20 on a product I will try it out, I come home, dressing into my home clothes and TOOK A HUGE WHIFF OF THAT STANK……

I consider myself extermely lucky for not smelling because I don’t have to use deodorant unless I was like super sweaty from gym or hiking but even then it is a faint smell and my worse fear is smelling! My worse fear!

I highly do not recommend spending $20 for Carpe. I had to use tea tree soap to remove any excess to make sure the stuff didn’t linger.

I even tried it a few more times in the morning, not even after I was sweating to truly test it….. absolutely not. ABSOLUTELY NOT.

How can I get more bookkeeping clients?

I have a firm in which I do bookkeeping and tax preparation. I have a couple bookkeeping clients but I would love more.

I have a pretty steady flow of tax clients throughout the year outside of tax season but not a ton of bookkeeping. I have been told that I am expensive but I believe I charge fair with the work I provide.

There are tons of people that charge far less than me but their clients are also the ones begging for timely monthly reports and continuously asking questions on where they can improve financially or how to save on taxes.

I provide that and some. Maybe my approach to how I explain it isn’t as detailed or I don’t sell it well enough? I basically offer to be their financial department which they love till they hear the price.

How have you tried to gain more bookkeeping clients?

As an INFP, how can we make money a motivation?

I have a desk job and honestly, I love the work I do and want to excel at it. I am a Tax Accountant/Bookkeeper and business consultant, I love building businesses for others.

I have wanted alot of creative jobs in the past but they ended up being hobbies I still do to this day like poetry, sketches of homes I would like to build, and a book I have begun crafting. I love painting, as well.

I use to read more but don’t as of the last few years which I have been wanting to change but I am in a mute zone.

I use to job hop till I began my business with my husband but they were all jobs I excelled at and actually liked but only reasons I left was because I refused to be part of office politics and it got me into trouble. So, I would leave instead of just deal with it because why would I surround myself with people that won’t just let me be.

Anyway, I want to excel at what I do but I have no motivation even though I like my job. I like helping those with challenging tax situations, building businesses, and with tax planning! It feels like a game of “how much money can I get them to make” or “how much money can I get them to save.”

Though sometimes when I have basic clients or clients that give me a hard time because there is always someone trying to explain to you how to do your job or always someone who tells you they will get you documents then doesn’t and asks you why something isn’t done…. “Well, maybe because you didn’t give the documents I asked for last week.” I end up getting to a point where I don’t want to do the work and I lose motivation.

Maybe this is an authority issue I have. I can’t tell my clients what I really think so I fight myself back on it alot. I use to be in Real Estate and I was very blunt about what people wanted verses what they can get and let us just say I am no longer in Real Estate actively, even though I have my license still.

I have a hard time trying to fake my motivation or what I actually think. I get so tired and exhausted and I just don’t want to deal with it and shut down.

The authority issue doesn’t come with my husband, I never feel like I need to prove much of a point to him and I have no issue just carrying on and doing what I do and he does what he does. I think that’s because I married him knowing I agreed with his decision making and his thought process so if he made a decision I follow it most of the time immediately.

How can I be more money motivated so I don’t get into a funk? So I don’t allow what others do to effect my mood or motivation?

Does anyone else have a similar issue?
