Best way to use companion passs to Asia?

Trying my best to book a flight to Asia.. Anywhere that gets us the $599 for the other ticket. Our last destination is TPE but we're open to stop somewhere to take advantage of the companion pass.

I've tried different routes that's AC only flights and not codeshare and it keeps saying companion pass was not applied.

And for the routes that it did apply, it was almost the same price as the normal bookings as the other fees rise up.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Went to my first launch event! Any tips to get better next time?

Our format was open 6 packs and build 40 card deck. Going to another one next weekend. Any tips to get better?

Just a bit of background, I'm still sorta new. Started at GD04 ST09 and practicing with MSA for the most part. I did my research the night before in terms of me just getting to know all the GD05 cards.

My strategy was getting good value units (per cost / level) either blocker attributes / pings / great AP/HP type of thing. I also got Wing Gundam EW yesterday and was the highlight of my deck. Didn't pull Heero but as its own it's quite nice. Also I pulled 3 airframe seizures and naturally I ran all three to get great card draw power (the first guy I faced maybe thought I was cheating until the owner of the shop told him he pulled 4 airframe seizures out of 6 packs when he did his launch event)

Anyways my thought process was to get the following

- do 4 bases (great if it has synergy with other other pulls)

- do 4-6 pilots (only had 3 pilots pulled though)

- Card draw as best as I can (like airframe seizures)

- get great value units

Any other tips out there? I know it's mostly luck bsaed pulls from the 6 pack but ya anything is welcome and would love to get better at the game!

Could someone help me understand these cards

Dragon Gundam lets me activate the main on the pilot Sai Saici pilot card when attacking. After activating the main, you may pair this card from your trash with one of your mf units.

Does that mean you’d have to have a copy of this card in your trash and then you can pair it with another MF unit in play?
