Y’all… let me tell you how I just snagged Head Gamez Cloe with the Formal Funk screening two weeks ago, because this was a little journey. I got her for a little over $30 on eBay — which is already a steal — but the way that one bidder had me twisted? I said hell no. You’re not about to bid over with me. I clicked that bid so fast, like… you’re not doing this to me today. I really waited for the last minute.

I’ve been wanting this version of FF Cloe specifically. I refused to get the original one with those short little chopped pieces in her hair. I hated that. I wanted long hair Cloe, period. So finding her for that price? I felt like I won something.

She’s so pretty in person too. That screening hits different. I’m honestly just happy I finally got her, because she’s one of the prettiest Cloes. And now she’s here, she’s mine, and I’m already planning where she’s gonna sit.

But, she originally came in a base, but I got her with the body, and I hate the Head Gamez neck peg because it’s wobbly. So I rebodied her in a normal Bratz body. I need to redo her hair because it’s still poofy, but it’s Saran. At least it’s the length i like. I put her in Genie Magic Sasha’s second shirt (I know it’s Yasmin, but Sasha wore it in the movie), And Funk Out Fianna’s pants. At the end, I have her in my collection, and I love this version of FF Cloe (though, she’s Head Gamez).

It took me two weeks to post this, but i finally did.

So… I’ve been wanting this doll for so long. Like she’s one of those ones that just sits in the back of your mind and refuses to leave, like I’ve been having dreams about snagging Sasha, and kept picturing her on my shelf, dreaming about finally adding her to my collection… and now she’s here. She’s finally mine and I’m actually screaming inside.

I’m not even gonna lie, I almost bought that Etsy listing before it sold. Don’t judge me, I was so weak for the doll 😆 But the way I randomly found her on WhatNot for $40?? That was a blessing straight from the doll gods. I said I wasn’t spending money on dolls this week, but Sasha defeated me once again. And I needed her.

Her hair came tied up and crunchy, but she still has her little flower so I’m not mad. No original outfit, unfortunately. It just feels good to finally checking her off my ISO list. I didn’t took a picture of her, unfortunately of what she looks like before. And she did came naked.

Now I just need Yasmin to finish the Flower Girlz collection, and of course there’s still more Sasha dolls I’m hunting down. I don’t have no regrets on buying the doll.

But, I did give her a wash and clean. I ended up putting her in a top, skirt, and boots since I don’t have shoes in her skintone. Honestly I barely have clothes and shoes for my Bratz girls in general, so I just work with what I got. But she looks better now and I’m happy.

My Scene deserved so much more than what they got. They were a big part of my childhood, and I’ll never understand why they don’t get talked about the way they should. The characters had personality, named after New York places/landmarks except Barbie, amazing fashions, gorgeous face screenings (I like both early faces and bling faces), and outfits that actually looked like what people were wearing in the early 2000s (before they started wearing some stuff when the Bling era came out)

Even the new collector dolls had so much quality. Looking at some of what Mattel puts out now, it’s hard not to notice the difference.

I just hate that My Scene gets overlooked so often. They meant a lot to so many of us, and they deserve way more appreciation than they ever got.

If I’m being honest, the Barbie community really does stand out from the rest of the doll communities. People actually enjoy dolls here. They post something excited to share outfits, thrift finds, face molds, customs, childhood favorites, and all the little details only us Barbie collectors care about. It’s one of the few communities where collectors like me and others enjoy posting Barbie related.

What makes it special is how many different types of collectors exist and somehow all fit together. You’ve got the vintage collectors who know every era by heart, the playline fans who love the fun releases, the Silkstone collectors who treat their dolls like museum pieces, the OOAK artists repainting faces like tiny portraits, the diorama builders making whole rooms, the collectors who rebody their dolls, and the thrift hunters who find gems for a cheap price. Everybody has their own lane, and nobody tries to act like an influencer.

And the creativity? It’s wild. Collectors stayed posting handmade clothes for Barbie, repaints, restyles, tiny accessories, full photo shoots, and edits that look straight out of a fashion magazine. People turn dolls into art without even trying — it’s just what the community does.

Now, I’ll keep it real: Barbie releases can be hit or miss. Some new dolls eat, some… don’t. Sometimes the face sculpt is off, the outfit feels rushed, printed on, or the quality isn’t giving what it used to. But the community still finds ways to make them fun — swapping outfits, customizing, restyling, or just appreciating the parts that do work. Barbie collectors know how to make the best out of anything.

Even with the occasional drama nonsense, the good outweighs the bad. The Barbie community stays creative, supportive, nostalgic, expressive, and full of personality. It’s easily one of the best communities of the doll world, and it’s why so many of us never really leave there.

I kept thinking about how wild this hobby really is when it comes to Sasha and Felicia. Not even just Sweet Dreamz Felicia, I mean across the board. These two stay getting treated like they’re animals instead of dolls we grew up loving.

Sasha has been the doll that every collectors want. But every time you look her up, she’s sitting at some ridiculous “collector tier” like she’s some ultra‑limited doll. Folks know people actually want her, so they push her into this weird prestige lane.

And Felicia? Please. The way people act when she shows up is wild. She’s the only dark‑skinned Bratz girl, she means a lot to Black collectors, and instead of respecting that, people treat her like she’s made out of rare material. Sweet Dreamz Felicia especially, the second she lands in somebody’s hands, they start acting like they’re holding a winning lottery ticket.

What gets me is how predictable it is. The dolls with the most cultural weight, the ones that meant something to us growing up, are always the ones getting gatekept the hardest. Collecting used to be fun. Now it feels like you gotta dodge opportunists just to enjoy a hobby that was supposed to be simple.

And the truth is, Sasha and Felicia deserve better than being turned into trophies. They deserve to be accessible, collected, loved — not treated like stock.

So this happened yesterday and I’m so mad like how did I ruined a good doll? My 24 inch Meygan foot peg came straight out and got stuck inside the boot. I had to put hot water to get it loose and put it back in her leg, I thought everything was good, then I put the boot back on her? It did it again.

Has anyone dealt with this type of issue? What’s the best way to make the peg actually stay on the leg without slipping out every time I put it on her? I’m trying not to do anything crazy because I don’t wanna ruin it.

Any tips who owns the big girls would help a lot.

I still can’t believe I have Sasha in my collection. It really feels so unreal every time i look at her face, I know she’s plastic but I can’t help myself. My Sasha collection is really growing because I’m not used to having many Sasha’s in my collection.

I’ve had this doll since February, but this is my first time taking a picture of her because I really didn’t want to until I want to get the body, I just said let me take a pic because I ain’t gonna get it anytime soon.

The original owner did gave her a haircut and accidentally melted some of her hair on the right side, so I’ve been hiding that and fix her up the best I can.

She also didn’t come with her original body, so for now, she has the normal body. Finding her body is hard, and I’m trying not to stress about it too much.

But either way, I’m happy to have her in my collection. I’ve got Cloe, Yasmin, Breanna, so it’s coming in together. I just need Jade, Lina, and Dee

I just wanna share my FP Sasha with y’all :)

Man, looking back at almost 3 years old… I was so hype when I finally got Baby Phat Marisa. That was my first articulated SIS doll ever, and I really thought I was never gonna own her. I remember seeing the SIS line at Walmart way back and wanting her so bad, so getting her years later felt crazy.

She came in a random lot with some other dolls for like $25, which was a steal. That was honestly like the fifth time I lucked up on an SIS girl for cheap. She showed up looking a mess though, she was dirty, hair tied up tight, and this black mark on her face that took me a whole week to fade out. I kept doing the same cleaning routine over and over, and her blush ended up disappearing, but she still came out looking way better than she arrived.

She didn’t have her earrings, her original outfit, the sunglasses, none of that little Baby Phat bag 😂 but I didn’t care. Marisa (the first Latina SIS character) always had that look about her, and this line was one of my favorites. Shoutout to Stephen Sumner for designing something that still hits 13 years later.

That was one of my favorite pickups from 2023. She’s still one of my girls.

I’ve been wanting a doll with the Louboutin face mold for a long time. I kinda wish they made a playline version too even though I know it probably would not look the same and would end up more pixelated.

It is one of my favorite collector face molds ever. Lara, GG/CEO, Teresa, Claudette and more. I could name a lot honestly.

I just like how the mold works with the makeup and the screenings always feel bold and high fashion. It never really looks boring to me.

Now that I finally have a Louboutin doll coming in my collection next week and I’m really happy about it. It is something I have wanted for a while. I still want the Barbie Basics blonde one too but I know she’s hard to find..

Overall I think Louboutin is one of the best Barbie face molds Mattel has ever done in my opinion. I would love to see it used again but only if they keep that strong makeup and fashion look. I am not really into the softer neutral style on this mold or what Mattel are giving Barbie’s nowadays.

Here’s my two Back To School girls in my Bratz collection.

I’ll admit, I wasn’t interested in them in first, but when people started posting them a lot on IG? It made me change my mind, and looked at the screening because it’s so unique because Yasmin has blue eyes and Cloe has brown eyes and a tan which makes her standout in this line.

That’s why I had to get them because they ate. But I don’t know about Phoebe which she’s my least favorite from this line because she looks too much like Katia.

So pretty much that, so I had to get my two from eBay and Mercari, those prices when I got them last year are so expensive. None of them don’t have their original outfit.

But Yasmin has her original shoes which I had the whole entire time before I even gotten her which is crazy.

My Cloe kinda needs a partial reroot because her hair was cut on top and I had to plucked the cut parts so it wouldn’t be seen.

So yea, that’s one of these collection I won’t sell because they’re beautiful.

And I wished they would lower these prices on any Bratz dolls because they’re not worth the price, I don’t care how valuable they are, stop using them as rent money. So that’s all I gotta say on that.

But that’s my collection of these dolls, I hope y’all love them. I just wanna share these with the community.

25 doesn’t feel too long at all. I remember seeing the dolls so much in the aisle at a young age, but wasn’t allowed to get one due to my gender. They really changed the game in the doll industry.

The iconic slogan?

The diversity?

They wasn’t afraid to try out new style. And setting the trends for pop culture.

I’ll say that Bratz felt to cool like other dolls didn’t.
And everybody had a favorite character and how they can relate to Sasha, Cloe, Jade, or Yasmin.

Bratz always felt so real to me.

And till this day? Nobody ain’t touching what they did.
Collectors like me still collects them (I’m only collecting the older ones), people are recreating their looks, and they’re still being talked online.

I still cannot believe I almost missed out on her. The Barbie Look Red Carpet Green Dress Barbie was literally $20 when she came out, and now she’s going for $100–$200 on eBay like it’s nothing. The way the aftermarket got her priced like she’s a mortgage payment is insane.

So when I saw her for $15, complete with the dress, the heels, the whole look (minus the purse), I grabbed her IMMEDIATELY. The face card? The red hair? That lime green dress? She’s giving “premium collector release,” not “I was sitting on a shelf waiting for someone to notice me.”

This was absolutely one of those “if you don’t take her right now, somebody else will snatch her in the next five minutes” situations. I literally told that seller to run her immediately before anyone bids her up.

She came in on Saturday and I totally spaced on posting her, but LOOK at her. She came with her original sweater and pants, so I threw those on the repro and put this Felicia in the repro’s second outfit — her OG yellow top with Cloe’s skirt.

She looks so cute, but now I’m on the hunt for shoes in her skin tone because she deserves a full moment.

I’m so happy to finally add her to my collection.

After 21 years, I finally got one of my grail Bratz dolls :) I already have the repro version, but it just doesn’t feel the same to me and she looks completely different. I had to get the original because, to me, this Felicia is way prettier than her Sweet Dreamz doll.

I only paid a little over $100 for her, which is actually really good considering how expensive she used to be before they reproduced her.

She comes with half of her original outfit, which I’m probably gonna put on my repro because I kinda lost my love for that one 😭 But I’m just so happy she’s finally coming home. 💚🩷

Here’s all of my LITDH dolls together. I even added my Style Grace because she’s part of the Dreamhouse collection too, and she appeared in two episodes, so she counts. It honestly took me almost 13 years to finally get every doll because I wanted them so bad when they first came out, but allowance money wasn’t cutting it back then 😭

Not all of them are wearing their original outfits, but I still wanted to get everybody together for a group pic. And trust me, it took me like three tries to finally get this picture right lol. I do have Talking Barbie somewhere, she’s just not in the photo. But for the basic line, this is everybody 🩷
