Black Soybeans - which ones

I'm ready to try black soybeans. Does anyone have suggestions for buying dried black soybeans?

I want dried soybeans and was shopping on Amazon and Nuts.com. I was very surprised to find that the net carbs listed for each was very different when the only ingredient was soybeans. And Amazon was, of course, way more expensive.

Glucometer/test strips question

New insurance covers only only 1 test per day. I currently use accucheck, but I also have a backup relion. I currently test 2x/day--morning and night and not sure I'm comfortable with just once.

I've been testing the same drop on each system over the past few weeks to see how I can adjust how i account for the difference between systems if I do the accucheck in themorning and the relion at night. Knowing that there is a wide variance allowed even withi the same system---I thought I could get a baseline differential between the two systems. Here's what I've found:

accuchek is much lower than relion at each reading

accuchek consistently reads within a small variance between readings, usually less than 10 points - relion was a much larger variance of up to 20 points

When I average by results over the past few weeks relion is much closer to my a1c, which I had tested yesterday. My accucheck readings historically have been very much lower than my a1c.

I'm actually starting to think that the relion may be more accurate despite the wide variance....or maybe because of the wide variance.

How should I go forward with my readings--knowing that these systems are not really required to be terribly accurate anyhow and more designed to record trends.

1- use accucheck 1x and relion 1x per day and get an average of the 2

2-just test 1x with what's covered by insurance

3-just throw a dart at a chart with numbered spaces indicating likely reading results :)

Also curious regarding your take on why one system is fairly consistent while the other has much larger swings between readings--does that indicate accuracy or inaccuracy?

What keto food was a revelation for you

Something that you've always eaten but never really gravitated to before. For me it's celery. I grew up with celery always eaten with some dressing, p-nut butter, cream cheese....more of a vehicle for what I considered the primary flavor.

Now--with the evolution of my tastebuds on keto--I am surprised by how flavorful just plain celery is and enjoy it every day.

Arborist/tree removal

I have a very large elm that I suspect needs to be removed. I'm looking for recommendations for a good and reasonably priced tree service. Also are there such services that climb rather than relying on lifts?

Bank online bill pay is suddenly paying by mastercard-who's paying the service fee

I just want to ensure that I don't eventually get stuck with monthly service fees.

I've paid my electric bill for years through my credit union online bill pay. Payments have always been an electronic transfer.

i paid my $50 bill last month as usual.

I received an email confirmation from the electric co. that My mastercard (which I don't even have) was charged $52 (50+2 convenience fee).

My account was debited just $50.

My credit union uses a 3d party vendor. They told me that electric will only accept mastercard payments, and that the credit union sends a prepaid mastercard.

The electric says that they are indeed charging the $2 service fee to someone. They also say that of course they will accept an electronic transfer, I just need to sign up for automatic deductions.

Of course, I have no access to the 3d party vendor.

Both credit union and electric told me that there are a lot of consumer complaints over this situation.

Why have they made this ridiculous arrangegment, and who is paying the fee?
