A Chrome extension that shows RateMyProfessor ratings right on Athena so you don't have to keep switching tabs during registration
Drop/add is chaotic enough without switching tabs to RMP for every single professor while seats are disappearing. So I built this Chrome extension that just shows the rating (and difficulty + would-take-again %) right next to their name when you're searching classes. Hover over it for more details, click it, and it takes you to their full RMP page if you want to actually read reviews.
It's not on the Chrome extension store yet, so you gotta install it manually from GitHub, but it only takes like 2 mins
- go to https://github.com/redvelvetfan/RMR
- click the green Code button, Download ZIP, unzip it
- chrome://extensions, turn on Developer mode (top right)
- Load unpacked, select the folder
- go search classes on Athena, ratings just show up
It's still pretty early, so if a professor doesn't have an RMP score, it just shows n/a for now, and there are probably some edge cases I haven't caught, but a feedback form is in the readme if you run into bugs or want a feature added, you can fill it out. I would genuinely appreciate it since I'm still actively building this out.
