How to go about getting financial advice without regular payments to a financial advisor

My wife and I are within 5 and 10 years of retirement. We would like to speak with somebody about various scenarios, options, and the right things to do to get us where we want to be. That however, is where we would like the relationship to end with the advisor. We do not want to continually invest with someone. We already have retirement accounts and 457s and the like. We simply want to talk to somebody and yet it doesn't seem like that is normal? For some strange reason? Anybody have recommendations on where to look for something like that? Thanks in advance!

A little Diablo to brighten your day

I'm a fan of mountain biking; Briones specifically and regularly. I'm also a fan of painting, and clouds, so when I'm mountain biking and there's epic clouds that day, I can't help but stop and take photos to paint from. Diablo from Briones. Hope you enjoy 🙂

Willie Brown teachers: what are some creative ways you finagled finances to go half time?

I'm just finishing my 25th year. I would like to use the Willie Brown act to teach half-time but cannot see how to afford anything past required bills if I only received half pay.

Any teachers come up with creative ways to teach halftime, get paid half-time, but still be able to live comfortably? Thanks in advance for any advice.

I'd like to solidify some Spanish with a few weeks in Oaxaca and I'm an avid Rider. Would like to bring my e-bike if at all possible due to the fact that it's easier to explore get lost and not have it be a big deal on an e-bike, but understand if people have had enough negative experiences to convince me that I shouldn't bother.

Sort of wondering if there is a solid mix of riding there, or if it is virtually all the natural stuff I've been reading about. I do like the natural, but I love me some jumps and berms and all that business too and it would be tough to live off just natural trails for weeks when there are probably other places I could visit to improve my Spanish and ride that have a mix of everything.

  1. Anyone have some advice on what type of bike would be best to bring, analog or e?

2 how far from town it is to get into quality riding, if I'm a daily rider, would most of the riding be shuttle or pedalable if I'm in the city proper, how viable it is to plan on getting shuttled all the time if it's as steep as I've read about and I want to get as many laps as possible?

3.And is there anything besides natural there?

Thanks in advance for any advice!
