Curious abt nightweaning

My babe is almost 17mo. We have bedshared and breastfed on demand since his first night earth side 💕

I’m beginning to wonder about nightweaning. Obviously I’m tired and haven’t had interrupted sleep for 17 months but I’m more curious for him. I’m just wondering if the quality of his sleep is actually good? Some days he has little bags under his eyes and he just fell asleep nursing at 9am (woke up at 7 and not due for a nap until 12)

He isn’t up for long periods in the night but def wakes up to switch sides and relatch etc.

On average he naps for 2-2.5 hours a day and sleeps for 10-11 hours a night.

Again, in ways I’d like to night wean for my own ability to sleep but am also wondering if it could benefit him. My husband hasn’t been able to soothe him in the night since he was like 6 months or so. I also wonder if night weaning might allow my husband to be more of comfort. Babe is such a booby barnacle though and loooooves to nurse. He’s also been working on molars so I know nursing has been a huge comfort.

Is the only way to know if it’s beneficial to just try?

Bed sharing & breastfeeding

We’re still bedsharing with our 16 month old. We still really love the arrangement. I’m just really struggling because for the last week or two my 16 month old will not sleep unless he’s latched. This is mostly night sleep but naps are being affected a little bit too.
If I unlatch him in the night he shouts up and immediately starts crying. Obviously I’m pretty tired so I usually just give in and give him access to my nipple again.

He’s always nursed a little in the night but usually unlatches on his own or just rolls over and goes back to sleep when I unlatch him. Sometimes he didn’t even wake at all.

I suspect he’s getting some bigger teeth in the back and that he’s uncountable I’m just having such a hard time with feeling like there’s no separation in the night. I just find myself wishing j could sleep without my nipple in his mouth.

Any encouragement??? Please :)

Disrespected boundary

I’m seeing RED HOT FLAMES right now.

My husbands grandmother posted pics of my child online fb today about 6 hours ago and I just saw them.

We told her when he was born a year ago that no pictures were to be shared of him online. We’ve told her many times since then. She has texted me personally 3-4 times in the last year of his life to ask if she could post something of him and each time I say no.

I immediately called her and asked her to take them down and it turned into a whole thing. She took them down (kicking and screaming) but now I’m just worried about it happening again and honestly just feeling anxious about her having pictures of him period.

Being blatantly disrespected as a parent sucks. And feeling strongly about something for your child’s well being and safety and having a relative jeopardize that protection SUCKS.

Cute summer sandals for sweaty feet?

Hiiii! My hands and feet are super sweaty and unfortunately have been all my life. Summer is hard for me in more ways than one but specifically - shoes. I tend to want to wear tennis shoes with socks alot because I hate the feeling of having sweaty feet with sandals. I hate the feeling of my foot slipping around and hate feeling like my feet get dirtier because sand and dirt and whatever else stick to them because they’re wet. Aside from it being embarrassing it’s just uncomfortable sensory wise. I tried to Birkenstocks and I love them but I can only really wear them in the spring or fall when it’s not too warm outside. If I wear them when my feet are pouring sweat then the sole starts to feel soooooo grody and like slimy. I liked having chacos and tevas because if my foot was sweaty it still felt secure in the shoe and less slippery than it does in my crocs or oofos. But I want a cuter sandal I think?

To the ladies in the group - what’s your summer shoe line up for sweaty feet? Have you found anything you love wearing that works well?

For anyone else reading, I’d love to know that I’m not alone. This shits annoying! I’m 30 and have dealt with it for as long as I can remember.

Poison Ivy problems

I really really really don’t want to, but I’m considering using weed killer on poison ivy in my yard. My husband has tried to pull most of it out by the route, but there are some areas where it’s just super heavy and I’m highly allergic the area that I’m talking about spraying is not an area where my 14 month old plays. Has anybody had to resort to using lead killer or round up or something in a situation like this? Just looking for some peace of mind or if anybody has any better options definitely open to hearing them!
