Florida. A little animal my cat found in December.

Florida. Found in December 2025. This is about an inch and a half long (3 cm). At the time that I found this, I remember looking it up and the name I found was a name I had never heard before (not vole, not mole, not shrew). I think the name was only 3 letters long or so, and may have contained a v. It was like "vin" or something short like that. Anyway, now I can't find any reference to that weird word I found back then, and it's bugging me. When I googled the word back then, it said the animal had to eat every hour or die. Once again, it was an unfamiliar word that was NOT shrew, vole, or mole. thanks!

Portable air conditioning unit

I see the heatwave coming to London and am asking my tenant if they would like an AC unit. Does anyone have one that they are happy with? I'm looking at the floor units with the flexible pipe that goes out the window on B&Q. Looks like they have next day delivery.

GDI service charged, but I don't have a GDI engine

I was charged for GDI service at a KIA dealer but I have the 2012 Soul 2.0L MPI engine, not GDI. It cost about $180 each time, and was several years apart. I didn't even realize at the time that my car was not a GDI, and honestly took their word for it that I should get it. I didn't even realize that some cars are GDI and some are not. It does say GDI service on the receipt.

Could it be that they actually performed a cleaning of the intake system but just called it GDI as a shortcut? Or is it 100% certain that I was charged for something that they didn't perform?

Do I actually need to do anything to clean intake system on an MPI engine other than perhaps fuel system cleaner poured into an empty fuel tank once in a while? Thanks.

Furniture donation that offers pickup??

Is there place like Goodwill or thrift store that will come pick up large items like couches and tables? I'm doing a basement cleanout on Magazine Street near Trader Joe's. I can bring small stuff but some stuff is too large. thanks!!!
