I’m regretting my Big Shark themed birthday 😅😅

I saw Big Shark in theaters and LOVED it. My 31st birthday is coming up and I decided to throw a Big Shark themed party where I make everyone watch it, play drinking games (drink every time “occupy my brain” is said), we wear cowboy hats, eat king cake (instead of a baby, whoever gets the shark will get a copy of the movie).

Heres the thing, I made my husband watch it last night and while he got a few chuckles, was not impressed. He was the one to introduce me to Tommy! Stupid movies are right up his alley. I am now second guessing this whole thing, realizing the best part of seeing it in theater was being surrounded by people who appreciated it.

Anyway, I may end up canceling 😅😅

Are my dogs playing? Or on the defense?

Some context:

We’ve been having a hard time discerning whether our white dog (zuko) is trying to play with other dogs or defend himself. His face and barks seem aggressive. He has never attacked another dog, and seems interested in other dogs when we go to the dog park but will usually just bark at them for a second then come back to me.

Our black dog (koda) is aggressive toward other dogs. While her and zuko have gotten in a couple of fights, she usually ignores him but they will play in the backyard for a bit. I believe this video is her in a playful mood. They just got done with a bath and have the zoomies.

Any Idea why my dog greets me like this? (Face biting, rubbing)

He usually starts with licking then wants to get mouthy. He bites my face with the side of his mouth so it doesn’t hurt or anything. He then starts rubbing against me violently haha. This video is tame compared to what usually happens. Sometimes he will rub against me so much he will flip over on top of me and freak out.

We want to stop the face biting as he will jump in people’s faces. We usually stop giving him attention when he starts doing this.

Play Barking or Aggression?

I have a 4 year old Cattle Dog/Brittany mix. When playing with our other dog, he barks in her face a lot, especially if she stops playing and he wants to keep going.

At the dog park, his behavior is not as confident. He usually just sniffs other dogs. Every once in a while, he will find a dog he feels comfortable playing with and start chasing/barking at him. If the dog doesn’t seem interested or gets annoyed with his barking, he comes back to me.

Fast forward to today, we met some friends at the dog park. They have a new puppy about 8 months old. He is also a barker.

Their dog began the barking, mine reciprocated, but instead of chasing each other and playing, they kept barking in each others faces, getting louder and faster. Both dogs tails were wagging, their puppy was in a play position, but mine seemed to start lunging and just trying to bark (or nip?) his face. We couldn’t tell if it was really aggression or loud playing so we played it safe and separated them, redirecting their puppy to play with another dog and having mine come hang out with me.

Is it normal to bark at each other like this? Is it playing or aggressive? How can we tell? How can I stop my dog from doing this?

Sleepiness/Anhedonia after afternoon dosing?

I have been on 50mg Pristiq for almost a year now and am curious if anyone else experiences this side effect.

I take my medication around 3:30-4. Afterwards for a 2-3 hours I get kind of sleepy and don’t want to do anything or be around anyone. I get annoyed when people talk it feels like I am trudging through mud. When people talk to me, its like talking to an empty shell. Almost disassociating, but not quite.

Does anyone else get this? I feel like it wears off and I start feeling better after a few hours. I am also on Vyvanse and know some of this can be caused by the crash, but I also feel it on days I don’t take it.
