Next step help please

Complete novice here who has only used a lawnmower in the past and not really cared for a lawn.

I had my "lawn" (majority brambles) dug up and levelled around a month ago and have been out of the country since so wanted to wait to see if any grew back before tackling.

The edges will be 30 or 50mm of gravel when the lawn is seeded so that's why there is DPM there at the moment and gabions/ patio at the front near the house.

It's due to rain next week so do you think it'd be easier to remove the brambles now, when the ground is a bit softer, or should I get them out now?

Also, will be seeding shortly and thinking I should rotovate after it's had a bit of moisture in the ground. Is this correct?

Thanks for your help all!

Diaphragm Valve replacement

Water keeps overflowing and I've been told to change the diaphragm washer.

Is it an easy fix? Water off, undo the fixing under the toilet, lift out and change?
