42 miles fixed; got dropped :/ anyone else train road cycling with a fixed gear in the winter?

This is from end of August, tried doing this route again a couple days ago and had a catastrophic chainring failure. Going to give it another rip here this week as I’ve gotten quite a bit faster recently.

exploring how frameworks and the browser evolved I made a toy framework

I don't know how to write this because I'm not trying to promote (I'm going to share a vibe code repo) anything and I'm really just trying to read other peoples perspective of this. At the beginning of the year I started thinking about why frameworks like React, Angular and even Svelte exist and what problem they're trying to solve. Ultimately when you look back at how web development, well developed every framework or library was just trying to answer a question the browser couldn't, at least that's what I've surmised.
My point being, the browser has evolved heavily recently. To the point so that frameworks and libraries like HTMX, Astro, React SSR are becoming popular conventions. So here's my question, React took over the jQuery job market, what will take over the React job market? What kind of choices does the framework of the next couple decades make for the developer?
Anyways, I've been reading browser proposals and learning more about how the browser works. I've been working on a toy framework since like March called Valence, dev branch is most active right now. The idea is basically no runtime, schema derived and zero third party JS. Lol I know yall hate vibe codes shit but I've been coding for more than a decade and these new frontier models have been nothing but a force multiplier for me as I learn new concepts. https://github.com/valencets/valence

Portfolio Feedback

I've been working in corporate frontend for the last 8 years with a niche in martech and, starting a new web studio locally just focusing on small businesses and hopefully marketing leads looking for external solutions. What are yall's thoughts? Yes I used AI. Just looking for feedback!

One of the thing I'm struggling with is more or less "marketing lead's language applied to the small owner's problem." I want to work with small local businesses but I also want to keep myself and my site open to recruiters/contracts.

I currently am working with two of my neighbors to get their services businesses a solid marketing page and on Google locally. Those will be added in a few weeks to the proofs section. The other thing I'm working on right now is tool that does what I do to identify local businesses spending on ad revenue and using analytics tracking, then more or less do a domain scan to determine if their tags are setup correctly. Often times its not, old accounts, multiple tag ids, page views as conversion etc.

The Enshrouded server config site is back up and staying up

Some of you might remember I shared this a while back and then took it down because it wasn’t ready. It’s finished now. You can build your enshrouded_server.json in the browser instead of hand editing it, and the export is always valid.

There are accounts now too, so you can save your configs, share them, and browse or fork what other people have made. Would be cool to see what setups you all come up with.

Batteries

I threw two new vape batteries in here, supposedly 3005Mah. Don’t really have great battery life and the console shuts off under 50%

Any suggestions or should I just grab some Samsung cells?
