Bought a brand-new Godrej AC from Reliance Digital. It failed within a month, and 27+ days later I’m still waiting for a repair.

I honestly never thought I’d be writing a post like this, but this has been one of the worst after-sales service experiences I’ve ever had.
I purchased a Godrej 1 Ton Split AC from Reliance Digital on 17 April 2026.
The installation itself was delayed until 22 April, when Reliance finally installed the unit.
Everything worked fine for just over a month.
Then the nightmare began.
Timeline
28 May: My AC suddenly started displaying an E6 error. I immediately lodged a complaint with Godrej Customer Care.
30 May: A Godrej technician visited and diagnosed the issue as a faulty PCB. However, I was informed that since the AC had been purchased from Reliance Digital, the warranty fulfilment and spare part replacement would be handled by Reliance ResQ.
Following their instructions, I raised the complaint with Reliance.
1 June: A Reliance technician visited and confirmed that the PCB required replacement.
2 June: Two Reliance ResQ technicians visited again and photographed and videographed both the indoor and outdoor units for verification.
4 June: I was assured that the replacement PCB would arrive within 7–10 working days.
6 June: I was informed that the part had been approved and was in transit.
After repeatedly following up myself (because no one ever called with updates), I was finally told that the PCB would arrive on 18 June and would be installed on 19 June.
This was already beyond the timeline they had promised.
Then came the biggest surprise.
19 June
The technician arrived.
Opened the package.
Looked at the PCB.
And said…
“This is for a 1.5 Ton AC. Your AC is 1 Ton.”
After waiting almost three weeks, Godrej had sent the wrong PCB.
The technician simply packed everything up and left because the part couldn’t be installed.
Since that day, my life has consisted of hearing the same few lines over and over:
“Sir, 2–5 more days.”
“The part is coming.”
“It’s in transit.”
“We’ll call you.”
“You’ll get an update.”
Not a single one of those assurances has been fulfilled.
As of today, it has been over 27 days since this ordeal began.
The technician no longer answers my calls.
The Reliance ResQ service team no longer answers my calls.
No proactive communication.
No ownership.
No accountability.
Just silence.
What disappoints me the most isn’t that an electronic appliance failed.
That can happen.
What is unacceptable is everything that followed.
A brand-new AC failing barely a month after installation.
Missing every promised timeline.
Sending the wrong replacement part after weeks of waiting.
Expecting the customer to chase every update.
Stopping communication altogether.
Reliance Digital and Godrej repeatedly passing responsibility while I’m left waiting.
I’ve escalated this through customer care, grievance channels and even the CEO’s office.
Most responses have been little more than automated acknowledgements or promises that never translate into action.
I’ve now filed a complaint with the National Consumer Helpline (NCH). If this issue continues unresolved, I’ll have no option but to approach the Consumer Commission with the complete timeline, service records, technician reports, emails, photographs and call logs.
I’m sharing this because I’m genuinely curious:
Has anyone here had a similar experience with Reliance Digital, Reliance ResQ or Godrej?
Did the National Consumer Helpline help resolve your issue, or did you ultimately have to approach the Consumer Commission?
Because at this point, it genuinely feels like after-sales service simply ends once the payment has been made.

TLDR:

Bought a Godrej 1 Ton AC from Reliance Digital on 17 April.
Installed on 22 April.
AC failed within about a month with an E6 error.
Godrej diagnosed a faulty PCB but redirected me to Reliance ResQ for warranty fulfilment.
Reliance promised the PCB in 7–10 working days.
Waited almost three weeks.
Technician finally arrived with the wrong PCB (1.5 Ton instead of 1 Ton).
Since then: repeated false promises, missed deadlines, and unanswered calls.
It’s now been 27+ days without a resolution.
I’ve escalated the issue to the National Consumer Helpline (NCH) and will approach the Consumer Commission if it remains unresolved.
If you’ve dealt with Reliance Digital, Reliance ResQ or Godrej after-sales service, I’d love to know how your experience turned out.

One-Month-Old Godrej AC Failed After 41 Days, Waiting 12+ Days for Repair With No Resolution

I wanted to share my experience and seek advice from the community regarding a warranty claim that has turned into an exhausting ordeal.
I purchased a Godrej 1 Ton Air Conditioner from Reliance Digital on 17 April 2026. The AC worked for barely over a month before it suddenly stopped functioning and started displaying an E6 error at around 2 AM on 28 May.
Since then, the experience has been nothing short of frustrating.
• The product is only about one month old and fully under warranty.
• Multiple complaints have been raised with both Godrej and Reliance Digital.
• Service technicians were assigned more than once, but the issue remains unresolved.
• We were repeatedly told that a replacement part was being shipped from Mumbai to Bhubaneswar.
• More than 12 days have now passed without any repair.
• Recently, I was informed that the dispatched spare part had been “rejected,” but nobody could explain why, where, or by whom.
The most frustrating aspect is the complete lack of transparency. Every time I call customer support, I receive a different explanation. No one can provide a clear timeline, a reason for the delay, or a concrete solution.
We are currently dealing with peak summer temperatures in Bhubaneswar and have been without a working AC for nearly two weeks despite owning what is essentially a brand-new appliance.
I have already escalated the matter multiple times, including to senior management channels, but all I seem to receive are complaint numbers and assurances that never translate into action.
My questions to the community:
Has anyone faced a similar issue with Godrej or Reliance Digital warranty service?
At what point can a customer demand a replacement unit instead of waiting indefinitely for spare parts?
Would approaching the Consumer Court be the appropriate next step?
I understand that products can fail. What I cannot understand is how a one-month-old appliance can remain non-functional for 12+ days with no clear explanation or resolution.
Any advice would be appreciated.

TL;DR: Bought a Godrej 1 Ton AC from Reliance Digital on 17-Apr-2026. The AC failed with an E6 error after just 41 days of use. It has now been non-functional for 12+ days despite being under warranty. Initially told the replacement part was being shipped from Mumbai to Bhubaneswar; recently informed that the dispatched part was “rejected” with no explanation provided. Multiple complaints and escalations later, there is still no repair date, no replacement offer, and no accountability from either Godrej or Reliance Digital. Seeking advice on whether to pursue Consumer Commission action and demand a replacement unit.
