In your opinion, which political actions/reforms has been the most important ones that Republicans have made in the aftermath of any school shooting?

As an example, I recently discovered this quote from George Washington that opposes everything about Trump's anti-refugee politics:
"I had always hoped that this land might become a safe and agreeable asylum to the virtuous and persecuted part of mankind, to whatever nation they might belong"
Between the 1930's and the 1980's, with the New Deal era under Roosevelt and the Civil Rights movement era under Eisenhower, Kennedy, and Johnson being key moments for this, the two parties essentially switched voter base with each other. The Civil Rights Act has been argued as the main driver in the party switch during this time, supported by the difference between the 1960 Electoral Map and the 1964 Electoral Map, and depicted as the quintessential establishing of the modern Republican party.

He says this around the 49 minute mark
According to the Federal Reserve Distributional Financial Accounts, the top 1% in the US holds as much wealth as the bottom 90%.
And according to a study by research organization RAND Corporation, nearly $80 TRILLION has been redistributed from the bottom 90% of Americans to the top 1% since 1975.
According to Oxfam International, CEO pay is increasing 20 times faster than workers' pay. They also report that billionaires in the US earns $2,500 per SECOND on average.
According to AFL-CIO, had the federal minimum wage kept pace with workers’ productivity since 1968, the inflation-adjusted minimum wage would be $24 an hour instead of the federally mandated $7.25, which means that workers only earn 1/3 of what they should be earning.
