Sigvaris panty ripped the first time wearing

I‘m having a complete meltdown. It took me an hour to get into these. I wore gloves. It was so hard to put them on. I will be bruised all over because of my knuckles digging into my flesh to put them on. It‘s my first time wearing them and they RIPPED!!! I need to wear CCL 3 because I‘m stage 2 so I have no alternative. I‘m crying.

Adult Swimming Lessons

Does anyone know a swimming coach in Seoul who can speak a bit of English and offers private class? I can swim and I learned swimming as a kid but I‘m very rusty and my technique is bad. I speak basic Korean as well but it would be easier if the coach spoke at least a bit of English.

Day 2 of compression therapy

I was sure wrapping / bandaging (what is the official term?) wouldn‘t do anything for me since I have only minor swelling and only after standing all day. But boy what a difference it makes. My lower legs are pain-free??! No fullness, pressure, throbbing. It feels amazingly „calm“ in the sense of my legs being just legs and not something I constantly sense and get pain signals from. If you‘re on the fence, maybe this helps?

Bandaging wrapping panic

My doc in Korea doesn‘t fully understand lipedema and now ordered me to get 10 days of wrapping /bandaging therapy. I know it‘s mainly for lymphedema but some lipedema patients profit from it too. I’m willing to try it. But now the physiotherapist sent me a photo of the orthopedic shoes I need to buy because I won‘t fit into my normal shoes and I CANNOT go to work in these!

They will make me feel as if I were really old and sick. I work in beauty, I run a startup, I am vain. I cannot wear these. I want to be pain free but there are limits to what I will endure.

What would you do? Should I cancel? My lipedema is not that bad that I need bandaging I think (pictures as proof haha)

Please help, I‘m mortified

What’s wrong with this pigeon? I want to help

Saw it in a park, sitting on a sidewalk not moving as we came closer. I think it’s too hurt to escape or trying to self rescue. I live in Korea and there are no rehabber but I could try to take it home and help it heal/find a bird vet if there’s a chance. The wings look strange, right? There was no blood or wound visible.

Korea lipedema treatment: mission impossible

I live in Korea and it‘s clear as day that I have lipedema (stage 2-3, really visible, huge legs while at normal weight, severe pain) but there are no doctors here who are familiar with it. Upon some digging I found Asan medical center and their lymphatic rehab department where they mention treating ~ 60 cases of lipedema per year.

I got an appointment at Asan but not sure if they are sending me to the correct department. But I need a referral letter. From any doctor. The problem is: no GP in Korea knows what lipedema even is. I called my GP and they asked „where do you have it?“ and I said „on my legs“ and then the receptionist said in shock „on both legs? How big is it?“ - and there I knew that she was either talking about lymphedema or something completely different.

I have no clue how to get that referral letter and my appointment is on Monday. I feel so defeated and hopeless. I just want to cry.

Can anyone a) recommend foreigner friendly clinics for egg freezing in Korea/Seoul (if you know the cost please share)

or b) tell me how to find them on my own?

I was at a famous clinic and the staff was so rude and they quoted me 6 million total but I heard there are cheaper clinics so it feels exploitative.
