for anyone who's kept specimens with adhesives applied long term, which types have you had the best success with in general? ive encountered some limb damage in a tarantula and have to proceed with a lot more caution now.. it is also an undried specimen, so the adhesive either needs to be fast setting or capable of setting within the freezer. thanks for any advice!
i know this sub is for pinning, but theyre similar topics and i want to extend my reach to fellow bug people. looking online theres a lot of loose advice about smaller spiders, and i would love some input from anyone who's done this with a tarantula specifically. the tarantula is about 2.5 inches in legspan and has a pretty small abdomen, smaller than my fingernail, and has had no prep besides being frozen. i assume ill need to inject the abdomen despite being small. i want to avoid chemicals that cause brittleness in the event i ever want to take her out and pin/bury her, but maintain the best appearance i can as well. just any advice on how i should approach and what chemicals i should use, it seems theres a lot of options and combinations. thanks!

when i look online i see advice for tiny spiders like jumping spiders and for much larger tarantulas, but what about a smaller tarantula? i have a roughly 2.5ish inch leg span tarantula, although with a very small abdomen, im looking to wet preserve. how should i approach for best longevity and appearance? id say the abdomen is a bit smaller than my fingernail, would that size require injection to avoid rot? it's a very sentimental preservation for someone else so i want to make sure i do the best job i can. thanks!
this shade is SO pretty in person. it's not like the brown blue duochromes im used to, the base is very deep and saturated and purply/berry toned, its just awesome. any recommendations for something similar? picture of the one displayed in ulta bc online swatches don't look quite right
looking for some nice quality burgundy or dark pinkish tubing mascaras, ive been using the half magic mascaras for bold looks but they dont have a deeper color that isnt black. i love the color of loreal's panorama mascara in burgundy but prefer a tubing formula. thanks!!
