I took ioqm batch in my coaching with jee too thinking it would help me but people say olympiad are irrelevant to jee, what's your opinion?

recently a govt. committee has proposed to make the weightage of board exams in grade 12th 50% i.e. board exams will be holding 50% marks weightage in getting top colleges both in jee and neet while until now it only depends on jee or neet and board exams act as eligibility criteria. however this is still being reviewed and not a policy until now. what are your takes?
