Tallowoods Crescent Asbestos/PFAs (Russell Vale) - capped or cleared?

  • Tallowoods Crescent in Russell Vale is a former "Mines Rescue" station site.
  • It was purchased in 2011 by 'Keerong Investments' and subdivided into 19 lots
    • at the time of purchase, an environmental assessment stated that there was no asbestos on the site
  • In 2014 the subdivided blocks were sold off
  • Around 2015-2016, environmental tests discovered Asbestos and PFA's in the soil
  • In 2019, after trying to remediate the soil, Keerong went into liquidation and all buyers were refunded their deposits. It was purchased by "Vito Pennimpede"
  • 2024 the estate has been full remediated (by "Reditus Consulting") and was sold off again as "Black Diamond Estate"
  • 2026 there's lots of finished houses, a few up for sale

I'm trying to investigate/understand what made Keerong go bankrupt/how did the new buyers fix the land? Was it capped (the asbestos was buried and laid over) or was it cleared (excavated/removed)

Also some of my info may be wrong. just digging around to see what i can find.

Does anyone know ?

DO NOT use your woolworths rewards card

the amount of money they make off YOU using your rewards card pails in comparison to what you actually get for it. maybe once a year you'll get $10 off a shop.

Meanwhile,

  • they know exactly when you shop
  • what you shop for,
  • how you shop

this lets them make THE MOST money they can out of your shopping habits. Increasing their profits further. For $10 off a shop? would you like to also round your shop up and donate?

Stop using your rewards card and stop helping them screw you.
