Need your opinions, as a customer do you guys actually get offended when the cashier doesn’t talk to you but talks to the team member they are working with back to back but are still scanning your items?
For context, I’m a customer. I went grocery shopping earlier this week and one of the workers that was restocking with the huge carts (filled with fresh produce) literally slammed me in between the cart and the end of an aisle. I couldn’t move and it hurt my hip pretty badly. Mind you, he came in at an angle and I told him to “wait please, can you move back so I could get out?” But he proceeded to move forward 😭
I don’t know, a basic apology would’ve been appreciated, idk if that makes me an entitled Karen or not lmao
I’m kinda annoyed ngl but I understand it was peak hour so fair enough.
I’ve never felt compelled to post in the subreddit but it genuinely feels like I’m doing an obstacle course just to get my damn groceries now and I’m sure I cannot be the only person with this issue.
- The height of the barriers causes them to sometimes just miss clocking me in the face.
- The automatic sensors are incredible temperamental in recognising my presence, sometimes I’m just left there moving around in a circle like a crazy person until the barriers realises I’m there and open
- Combine these factors with me having a bag of groceries on my lap (because sometimes I need things outside of my limited time with support workers!) and you have an overly complicated accessibility nightmare
I’m so fed up with it, and I know as Woolworths ups it’s anti shop-lifting methods it’s just going to get worse.
Anybody disabled folks having issues with this? I feel like a cranky old man right now hahaha
My phone is Android and no matter what I open in UKG there is a constant notfication that says 2 items need my attention. I do not need a constant reminder sitting there of work when I'm not working.Workjam wasn't perfect but at least it didn't have consistent notifications like this. Does anyone else have this problem?
Woolies used to do a 6pk of iced donuts in their bakery section. The icing was sticky. 2 choc, 2 pink, 2 caramel. I haven't seen them in ages - instead I see a pre packaged version with dry icing. Dog shit in comparison. Anyone's Woolies in brisbane still do the old style?

In all honesty, what’s the fucking point of having them? Where I work, there’s nothing that a normal person can’t do that only a sup can. I don’t think there’s a need for 9 to 10 supervisors in online department. Other than that, why does every second person start wearing a headset and pretend to be the supervisor/incharge? These are grown adults we don’t need supervising. People know what needs to be done and do it smh
And idk about ya'll but i usually never get more than a few per packet.

Hello. Today was my first shift and I got late by 30 mins. I was told to come next week to start my first shift and induction. Is there any reason to worry? Like is there going to be any problem because I got late at my first day?
How do I bring up the frustrations to my manager about working with a guy who cannot speak English and can’t understand what I’m saying? I got chewed out for not communicating and working together with him tonight. How am I supposed to do that? There’s two other coworkers who also cannot understand him either.
I bought a 1kg block of Woolworths Hillview (from memory the green one) cheese about a month ago. Still sealed in the fridge and went to use on Tuesday night. I opened it and more mold than cheese.
So that brought up the joyless experience of getting a refund.
Wait at the "service" counter for almost 10 minutes with no one there before going to self serve and asking them to find someone.
The guy who finally came looked about 15 with a chip on his shoulder. Thoroughly checked my receipt on my phone before saying the cheese is out of date by 4 days and I'm not entitled to a refund. (From the receipt?)
Firstly the use by is on the wrapper (end August) but even if 4 days out of date it wouldn't be this disgusting mess.
So an argument ensued with me getting progressively more pissed off. I eventually got my replacement block (I didn't want the refund as I'd used my 10% voucher).
I contrast this with Aldi who took one look at the (obviously) Aldi product and gave me a refund with no receipt needed in minutes.
I rarely shop at Woolworths now. And hate their gates that lock you in. Will definitely not be renewing my Rewards plus membership.
Where are they? Why are they always sold out? Are they going to make more! I got one bag, fell in love, and now I cant find them again. I've searched high and low and they seem to be sold out everywhere in my area and surrounds.

I think the dress code at Woolies is way too casual these days there’s way too many employees with white sneakers. The companies sense of professionalism is dead and it’s sad.
