Exciter Records posted this reply to a comment on their Facebook page about the forthcoming Sad Wings 50th anniversary release:

"Exciter Records recently acquired SWOD and Rocka Rolla. This is the 50th anniversary edition of the original 1976 recordings which have been newly remastered. There will also be a remixed and remastered edition. Stay tuned for more details."

So it looks like the edition due for release on October 9th is the 'remastered only' version and there will also be a 'remixed AND remastered' edition which hasn't been announced yet.
