BEWARE Studio 2.26.7_1

Problems with the lastest include:
* Continued inability to copy / paste submodels with 3+ levels of nesting between files - typically results in a crash.
* Import file seems to fail randomly if there is anything more than one submodel being imported.
* Submodel corruption in the editor <- worst problem yet. Submodel changes are randomly not saving correctly, and many edits turn the model into the dreaded black box w/. '?'.

If you value your time, stick with version 2.26.4_1.

50(ish) model drop

I have published approx. 50 of my older models to my public git repository under https://github.com/mark-macbeth/lego/tree/main/models . The models span my earliest creations thru ships from my first vignettes appearing on Reddit the last several years.

A few caveats:

  1. Models pre-Dec 2024 may contain issues with part 28192 when the geometry changed significantly in Studio.
  2. I am a digital-only builder. I strive for legal connections and intend to use only legal building techniques. That said, there will be misses (ex: hidden parts I forgot to delete, connections that are legal in Studio that

don’t

  1. work in RL, etc.).
  2. Missing internal structures: I will omit some structural elements on the inside

of

  1. MoCs when I'm certain they're possible. Said differently, if you were to attempt a real-world build

,

  1. significant re-inforcement would be necessary.
  2. I do not limit myself to published element / color combinations. If the color

works

  1. , I

  2. use it.

  3. The building steps are not

populated

  1. ; I tend to collapse these when they get out of control so Studio's instruction maker will not work.

Hope these are useful / enjoyable to someone. Keep on building, folks!

Avoid Studio 2.26.5_1

Changelog talks about performance improvements but this release is BUGGY. I'm experiencing constant crashes when copy / pasting between model files, and rendering sometimes stops working requiring a restart of the app.

Hopefully the June release is healthier...
