I was having some fun customizing these. I think it's really nice how the dark blue and gold work so well with the new outfits. I wish there was a reddish orange helmet to match the neo-futuron design that I love so much. Such a sucker for simplifying them to fit with my spacemen collection.
Some other combos I really want to try (but don't have the parts yet):
- The new education torsos with dark turquoise helmet and airtanks. (Maybr coral legs for the coral one? Dark blue airtanks might work too)
- The bright green neo-futuron one with the bright green helmet (which would be very similar to the bright orange one here. I also think dual molded white and black legs would work well.)
- The neo-space "commander" with gunmetal airtank and gold helmet.
It really makes me hope we get dark azure, coral, and bright light orange helmets/airtanks in the future for other combinations with the neo space and education colors. (Bright light orange helmet and dark azure airtanks would also look good on the 2022 space suit!)
Got a few of the Lego city space sets and I’ve been slowly working on knocking together some bits and bobs to go with the story in my head.
So from left to right we have:
- Reginald P Esquire, Mechanic
- Medic Kevorian “Kev” Jones
- The gear guy (name still pending)
- H.E.S.T. X. 3 / Hostile Environment Scout Trooper Experimental prototype 3
- Carmine, The Programmer Formerly Known As
- Captain Emile Galloway
- Vera AKA Riker AKA #2
They’re from a setting where galactic civilization just sort of quietly collapsed one day, and it took a while for people to notice. It wasn’t anything major like an extinction level event or FTL ceasing to work or a giant war. It was just a lot of little things piling up over time.
And now?
Now people have to do what they’ve been doing since the first hominid looked up at the stars and thought “I wonder if I could touch them if I reached high enough”: get by any way they can.
This particular crew was looking for salvage and supplies and stumbled across an experimental research outpost and discovered an advanced scouting and scientific research ship with a prototype slip drive and have been using it as a mobile base ever since.
Was designing something similar and took a short little side quest.

Hey everyone! I wanted to share my latest digital build – a spaceship and its launch platform.
It’s built with almost 1000 pieces. I really wanted to capture that chunky, industrial Sci-Fi aesthetic. The subterranean part of the base includes a fully detailed reactor, a workshop, and a command center (I'll share the cutaway views later!).
I'd love to hear your thoughts on the design and the color scheme!
(Note: The model and platform are real, but the fire and smoke effects were added in post-production for a cinematic vibe.)
I was bored yesterday evening, stumbled across the Lego moon car instructions and tried to rebuild it with an own touch, limited to the parts I have. Still need a better solution for the windshield, but couldn’t find anything that fits.
Had a lot of fun with this small challenge. Hope you like it!
Local bam dumped a ton of vintage space pieces and even had the crater base plates. Had enough parts for almost complete 6970 and 6971. So got the idea for a mega base. Have a little tunning left like an air lock door and some vehicles.
Hello
First Post
Does anyone have a high res image file of the classic space logo to share?
I purchased a UV Printer and would like it to print tiles and stuff.
Been using stickers but want to upgrade my crew.

Thank You
I am fascinated by space, and I wanted to create a model that is rooted in the present day. Inspired by “reusable robotic spacecraft” like the X-37 and Earth-based space observation using radar technology, I conceived my model, “Space Port – Satellite Team with Drone Shuttle” 🛰️📡📟
If you like the models, I’d really appreciate your vote. Thank you so much. 🙏😊

Only found out when my husband bought me a copy in Tesco.
Someone had to do this....right??
I'd always had a strange idea about doing this, but I recently took my Saturn V bits out of storage and they'd gone horribly yellow....so took that as a sign....!
Some parts were a bit rare to track down, but I remained pretty faithful to the original design. Made some adjustments in the smallest module to get the 'bumblebee stripes'..!
I would have loved to put some other Classic Space logos or printed parts on it, just to break up the grey a bit, but couldn't find anything which worked. Let me know any ideas for how to improve...!
Here is my Galactic Carrier mixing 60446 & 60433 with some extra bracing across the station interface (it does mount properly to both sides thanks to a blue technic pin reversing the connection direction but needed the bracing)
Diagonal brace for front units and a final single stand because the balance is just off and it saves the stress on the bottom pod.
I've been after the Galactic Madular Spaceship for some time and saw someone mix these two sets.
Very very very pleased with this!
