A closer look at the LEGO 6834 Celestial Sled from 1993. One of those small classic Space sets that packs a surprising amount of character into just 52 pieces.

I like experimenting with different types of terrain in my dioramas, and for this one I wanted to try my hand at a completely studless snowy landscape. I think there are opportunities to smooth out the topography a bit, but for a first attempt I'm pretty happy with it.
Here's the other ship I've been working on while I was working on the Arklyt Shadow.
Considered the nemesis of the Arklyt group, The Manticore Heavy gunship sports an outrageously fast engine cluster and serious armament.
Again this builds involves lots of inverted bricks, inset nested connection points and just about every red brick I owned. All of these builds are never done in studio. Just tried and true trial and error. Built using bulk bin and second hand bricks (minus the tran blue accents). Just listening to the bricks and seeing what comes.
I mention vacation because i only took a small selection of pieces with me, it really helps spark creativity when options are limited.
Because Space Police 2 is a little friendlier it has a tractor beam, not a cannon.
A new modern spacesuit for new missions, too bad the red BAM suit has a white right arm.
Space Police II The WARDEN moc
A continuous track type mech developed and deployed by the Space Police II. Used in high risk environments for confronting dangerous lawbreakers where lethal force is necessary. Using components from Robo-Force for their electronics and AI interface systems.
I also took the idea of the prison pod transportation from the set 6984 Galactic Mediator where the little rover used a tractor suction to haul the prison pod seen on slide 9.
Based on the theme Space Police II that was from 1992. Thought they could use another ground forces addition so wanted to make a tank-track type mech moc.

Here's my attempt at modding the Lego 60430 interstellar spaceship. The aim of my work was to make the spacecraft look more realistic. More science and less fiction. For me the "interstellar" part of the ship's name meant that it's actually a lander attached to an interstellar vehicle. In my eyes, it's a single-stage-to-orbit spaceplane, powered by a NERVA engine (with a large adjustable nozzle) and a pair of air-breathing nuclear engines on the sides with VTOL thrusters similar to the ones that can be found on F-35B.
I left the front and rear part of the 60430 mostly intact. I split the spaceship in half, added the 5117 element in the middle and worked from that. The result is a more aerodynamically plausible arrow-like look and some space behind the cockpit for the astronaut to rest during a long mission. I added the landing gear, a pair of additional engines (beehive bricks) on the sides and vertical take off and landing thrusters at the bottom (a pair of 2x2 round plates in the front and four 1x1 round elements at tne back). I made the cockpit a little bit more old-fashioned. The original transparent wide screen display looked too modern for me so I replaced it with dials and buttons (reading Stanisław Lem's books in my youth I imagined the cockpits this way). I also replaced the minifigure pilot with a minidoll. They look more like humans to me (but in fact it was their sweetness that made me choose one of them). This one even has a star tattoo on her face, like the original.
The last photos show mankind's first landing on Proxima Centauri b ;-) .
The model was created by "The Invisible Brick" and me. Even though it matches Futuron's color scheme, we built it for the Modern Space City 2024/2025 astronauts, as Futuron already has a great monorail with the 6990 "Futuron Monorail Transport System" set.
