Less satisfying than classic space with fewer colors, but this allowed me to build each of them one of the small vehicles from their theme to display with them :)

Classic space done, futuron done, M-tron and blacktrons done (those were easy at one each lol). I've definitely got space police 2 somewhere... Idk if I'll do 3. I do like the aliens. I have ufo done but they're in their respective sets...

I guess maybe cmf next?

Edit - oh! Ice planet! That's next. Maybe spyruis. I have these all in their respective sets (minis ice planet lady) so I forget them.

This is based on the RTron prototype ship, and is a clear predecessor to the SP2 Rebel Hunter. Used 1980s-2000s pieces, particularly notable the 2001+ red trans panels from Team Alpha series' Ogel set. Also used 2x2 single jumper plates to secure the jail cell/cargo module without the magnet.

A revamp of my Interstellar Spaceship Insectoids Edition I posted quite awhile back. But now with new and improved colour balance and layout tweaks making some parts flow/meld together in a more fluid manner.

I wanted to make my own faction based on the unreleased Purpletron subtheme from 1989. From the one picture we got it looked like they used a lot of propellors in the vehicle builds so I tried to keep that true across all the different vehicles and sets. The main focus of this faction is exploring a dangerous jungle planet!

Full disclosure, I did use some third party pieces, mostly because some of the pieces I wanted to use didn't come in dark purple or trans neon green.

The Space Flyghter Mini-Xord (actually formed from the canopy and the rear thruster of a giant mechanical Triceratops)

The LX Featherstorm.

I put this video together to show the play functions of my Space Police Squad Car MOC. It features twin cockpits, twin hovercraft, two jail cells, and a crane for mounting and dismounting them!

This was my very first challenge entry on LEGO Ideas – back when I still had a lot to learn. But the theme of the month reminded me of it. Even though it has little to do with the Insectoids theme itself, it's a spaceship heavily inspired by an insect – the dragonfly. Hope you like it! 😊

Pure speculation, but a new part just showed up: Vehicle, Base 4 x 7 x 2/3 with Axle Holes in Light Bluish Gray, with no set association yet.

This feels like a modern update to the original small vehicle chassis concept used in early Classic Space sets like 886 Space Buggy and 889 Radar Truck, which relied on multi-brick assemblies before a dedicated molded base existed.

If this new version is a revision, the added axle holes could point to a more versatile, modern reinterpretation of that classic small rover platform idea.

Could be nothing, but it’s an interesting evolution of a very specific footprint.

Finally very close to finishing my "Every Spaceman Is Awesome" set. I put this shelf together to display some of my favorite sets. On the bottom shelf is the "LEGO icons Galaxy Explorer set that I customized. Will attach a pic shortly. Thats a motorized micro command center (followed Minifig Jez's YouTube video/tutorial). The Lego Space community is very inviting. Thanks.
