The other shoe...tROAS too close to actual starves learning data

The other issue I see with the Google switch is that advertisers will have a historic ROAS they have hit which is well above the new target they set due to Google maximizing their performance previously. Advertisers will now try to set their tROAS where they have been hitting in the past and that will create a vicious cycle of Google being more conservative and participating in less auctions, which then starves the account of the data it needs. Many people have seen this over the years when trying to increase tROAS closer toward actual results, only to see the performance drop.

My Max Conv Campaigns got a nice bump on Aug 17, related to targeting changes?

One day anecdotal for an account that uses Max Conv Value. They all had around a 40% bump in conv/cost (roas). I wonder if it could be due to the tROAS change going into effect where those accounts would "settle" for lower performance and may not enter the same auctions as I am in.

The price wars have begun... (gpt 5.6 now 80% off)

Today, we’re making GPT-5.6 more affordable and faster. GPT-5.6 Luna now costs 80% less, GPT-5.6 Terra costs 20% less, and Fast mode gives API customers an option for faster access to GPT-5.6 Sol.

GPT-5.6 Luna is now 80% less expensive

Luna is our fastest and most affordable model, built to use tools and complete multi-step workflows at scale. It delivers performance comparable to models that were frontier-class a year ago at roughly 6 cents on the dollar per task, and at nearly 9 times the speed.

Luna now costs $0.20 per million input tokens and $1.20 per million output tokens.

Nationwide pre-owned search? Only can search dealer specific inventory

I'd like to get a wide net of available pre-owner cars from the polestar website, but every time I try to search, it selects a dealer for me instead of keeping it wide open. Any known hacks to get full inventory?

Canvases Not Rendering

The canvas tool has always been a bit flaky in my experience, but lately I can't get canvases to render correctly, they always open as tsx files.

New xAI + Cursor model tomorrow? Just when 2.5 has been crushing

First, Composer 2.5 has become significantly better since launch. I don't know the extent of their feedback loop, but it is really providing better output every day.

Now, we may be seeing the first release of the new jointly trained/created model from the xAI + Cursor ownership as soon as tomorrow. My hope is that it is not a step backward.

Are current offers extended to CPO?

Looking specifically for a CPO P2. I see around 80 nationwide on sale. Has anyone seen any aggressive pricing on CPO vehicles at dealers?

New model addiction pattern

Every new model release repeats the same pattern for me. I happily use my existing go to model and only use the new one "for special occasions", then those cases creep up more and more. Next thing I know I spent the entire morning coding with Fable, burning countless $$$.

Devvit App Avatar Image Display

I am working in an "uploaded" app state and am able o have the app work as intended. In my Dev Dashboard, the app shows the user profile image. However, when the app interacts on the live site, it shows a default avatar icon. Is this a propagation delay or a public/live limitation?

Thanks for the tweak that remembers my Build model vs the Chat/Plan model.

Just a small update I noticed...you can chat and plan using a high level model and then the Build will remember the last build model which may not be the same. Like many people, I'll use Opus to plan and Composer to execute. I've executed with Opus a bunch of times due to not remembering to toggle it, but it now appears to be a sticky setting, thanks!

Completely New Cursor Model with SpaceX Coming Soon

Buried in the Composer 2.5 announcement:

Together with SpaceXAI, we're training a significantly larger model from scratch, using 10x more total compute. With Colossus 2's million H100-equivalents and our combined data and training techniques, we expect this to be a major leap in model capability.

Shared Bid Strategy: Do Long Paused/Completed Campaigns Impact Learning?

I removed a few long non-serving campaigns from a bid strategy just for clean up purposes. They hadn't served in over a year. I saw a drop in performance over the days since. Not sure if it is related or not. Do shared bid strategies use legacy data, even from inactive (paused/completed) campaigns?

I only gave 5.5 a look because I was way over my usage on Opus and 5.5 is running on a lower cost right now. I think I may prefer it. The speed is impressive.
