Internet is down, router and modem working fine
My internet has been down for 8 hours now, my modem and Wifi router work fine. It was working fine yesterday and now it's down. Xfinitys chatbot is telling me they want to charge me money to send out a tech? You guys wanna charge me 100$ to solve your own problem?
Edit: ok I'm more calm I'm just extremely salty about the idea of being sent out a professional install and charged 100$ when the modem and router has been working for months.
Here's more info:
Modem has been searching downstream for hours now.

- If you still see this message after 5 minutes, make sure coaxial cable is tightly connected.
- Inspect the splitter. Remove any unnecessary splitter or replace it with a new one.
- Use a different coaxial cable if available and connect directly without the splitter. Also, check if service is on this line.
- If you still can't resolve the problem, contact your service provider for troubleshooting help.
CM Status: Bad
Cable modem is scanning downstream. For this first time boot up, it might take a few minutes to scan all downstream frequencies.
Downstream Status: Bad
Downstream Power Level: Bad
Downstream power is poor (0.0dBmV). The recommended level is between -10dBmV to 10dBmV."
Both modem and router have been power cycled, it stays searching for the downstream for hours. Coax cables are all tight and connected, even unplugged the coax to the modem and plugged it back in.
Recieved a text back saying Xfinity didn't find an outage associated with my service.
