I just found out my co-worker has never had a fig newton. I'm going to grab some at lunch. Should I get the name brand ones or Aldi's version?

Doing a sub search gives me the impression that, like many products, the fig newtons were well loved years ago, but have gotten worse recently. That is a mixed opinion, though, not universal.

So what say you? I've never had Aldi's version, so I can't say. I want her first fig newton experience to not be marred by some whack-ass version. Thanks for your help!

EDIT: It's almost time for me to go, so these are the results I see below:

7 people say Aldi

10 people say Name Brand

3 say both

5 say a third brand.

I may just have to make two stops and do a poll of the whole office! Thanks for your opinions!

EDIT 2: I got both! The person in question liked the Name Brand better. Looking at them, the Name Brand was clearly more loaded with actual figs. Figs was the first ingredient, whereas it's pretty far down the aldi list.

2 people said they liked Aldi better. Me and one other person thought, flavor wise, they were close enough that I don't know if I could tell them apart. Both pretty dry.

Solar Powered water pump charge controller issue.

Hello and thank you,

I’m setting up a water pump for my rain barrel and I’m coming across a peculiar issue I cannot seem to remedy.

The pump is an on-demand one, meaning it will turn on and off automatically as the pressure drops. If I have the hose open, so it will start pumping the second it receives power, it will pump without issue, and I am able to turn the load on and off with the right most button on the charge controller.

But, the moment I close the hose to initiate the pressure build up and make the pump turn off, I instead am met with a slow blink of the load light. The manual only says “mode setting wrongly” for that blink and to reset.

The only way resetting works is if I open the water valve back up by the time I power down and reset.

What could be causing this and what fix is out there?

Thanks again for your time.

Penn Jersey Market-N 6th st

The former Sisco’s/Tusker’s/a few other places on 6th st just north of city limits is open again!

It’s primarily a convenience store but is using the kitchen as well so they’re offering breakfast and sandwiches as well as fresh cut deli meats for sale. The place was clean and well stocked.

Got a pork roll egg and cheese on a roll. It was decent and only $5. Just one slice of pork roll but it was cheap.

Worth a try. Check it out when you get a chance.

Council Meeting TONIGHT at the high school regarding the future of the casino & boardwalk reconstruction

They moved the meeting to the high school due to the expected attendance. Make your voice heard!

I'm so confused by this whole situation. The Solomon report appears to say $33 million dollars in improvements haven't happened in 20 years, and that is the reason the city can cancel the contract and buy back the property. The city concludes the report says there is not a viable path to reclaim the property.

We're going to wake up one morning to these buildings being torn down. That's my fear.
