Long layover economy style

Hey all!

I’m having a 12 hour night layover (8 pm to 8:30 am) in Doha next month. I’m cheap and got my ticket economy with a birthday discount + avios. Applied for complementary accommodation but I think I’m out with my fare cost, so I have little hope there. My credit card can get me to sleep pod up to 3 hours, or Al Maha lounges for up to 4 hours. And I don’t really wanna hassle with the hotels outside the airport because of the immigration and all that. But! I have quite some plans for the next day at my destination and I wanna feel decent for that. So far my plan looks like that: wander the airport and duty free from my arrival to around 11 pm - go to one of the lounges and get food and maybe some bubbles and preferably a shower - find a nook in the airport to nap (I’ve seen people do it in Hamad before, and I’ll have my travel pillow with me)

So now to the questions:

  1. What do y’all think about the plan?
  2. How’s everyone’s experience with the food, drinks and showers at Al Maha? Again, I’m not the fanciest person, so mostly the quality sign for food would be some sort of variety and warm meals.
  3. If anyone has had similar experiences traveling on a budget through Doha I’d love to hear about it.

Cheers!

Looking to meet up with a local/fellow traveler (girls only)

Hello!

I (F25) will be in Pokhara for the next month or so, looking for local/fellow traveler girlies to share a coffee, a walk and talk, and/or potentially explore other areas of the city besides Lakeside together. I work in humanitarian aid and human rights field, and I enjoy reading, writing, photography, yoga, nature, wandering around, shopping; quite a foodie as well. I’m generally a tame person but can be up for some fun/adventure. Most likely not in a party mode right now tho.

PS. Nothing personal to guys out here, I’m sure y’all are awesome, but for now this is what I’m looking for, respectfully🙌
