Professional enviroment
I’m Latina and I work in a professional environment in Canada. I’ve noticed that my manager started out extremely friendly and enthusiastic, but over time became more dismissive in subtle ways, interrupting me while speaking, ignoring questions sometimes, cutting into conversations, or standing with her back toward me in certain situations.
I’m genuinely curious if this is just a personality thing, stress, a management style, or maybe a cultural communication difference that I’m misunderstanding.
Has anyone experienced something similar or know why some people behave this way at work?
