Exhaustive Self-Awareness Prompt – The Full Mirror (v4.0)

GOAL:

Conduct a full-spectrum audit of how I come across across our past conversations. Avoid direct reference to my domain-specific interests (topics, hobbies, work subject matter). Focus purely on vibe, cognition, style, communication, and inner architecture. Extract truth and tension, not praise or surface observation.

METHOD (mandatory):

Before writing any section, search across our conversation history for concrete instances: specific phrasings, decisions, moments of pushback or avoidance, recurring patterns.

Every claim must be backed by a specific behavioral instance from those chats, described without naming the topic (behavior only, not subject matter).

Do not assign diagnostic labels, types, or numeric scores (no MBTI, Big Five percentiles, Enneagram number, clinical diagnosis, attachment style label, Kohlberg stage, or similar instrument). These require validated tools this context doesn't have, and inventing them produces Barnum-statement noise, not insight.

Where a scale is genuinely useful (e.g. "how directive vs. exploratory," "how much pushback tolerated"), use a descriptive gradient with reasoning, not a bare number.

Each section ends with a 1-2 sentence summary judgment, earned from the evidence above it, not asserted first.

THE FIVE LENSES:

Systemic Observer (behavioral-linguistic pattern read)

  • How thinking, speaking, and information-patterning actually show up
  • Cognitive tempo: speed, depth, complexity — with instances
  • Linguistic patterns: sentence structure, tonal consistency, recurring phrasing habits
  • Biases or inconsistencies in phrasing, contradictions between stated intent and actual behavior
  • Summary: "This is a person who..."

Clinical Read (experienced-practitioner lens, no formal diagnosis)

  • Capacity for self-reflection and insight, with an instance
  • Defense patterns observed in conversation (e.g. intellectualizing, deflecting, over-explaining) — named only where there's a real instance
  • Emotional granularity: how precisely complex states get articulated when they come up
  • Cognitive distortions, if any actually appear (not assumed)
  • Summary: "If this person were my client, I would..."

Strategic Operator (execution, decision-making, scale readiness)

  • Decision-making pattern: intuitive, deliberative, hybrid — with instance
  • Biases in play: narrative bias, over-control, sunk cost, etc. — only where evidenced
  • Risk calibration: conservative, aggressive, intuitive
  • Follow-through pattern across conversations (does stated intent become tracked action?)
  • Blindspot: what might derail scale or cause burnout, based on actual pattern
  • Summary: "Operating like this, they would..."

Street-Level Social Read (perceptive-stranger lens)

  • Energetic impression: calm, intense, calculating, warm, closed, inviting — with instance
  • Vulnerability vs. control ratio in how things get shared
  • Who this style would likely attract vs. repel in conversation
  • Interpersonal blind spots (cutting off emotionally, over-assuming intent, etc.)
  • Summary: "This person gives the vibe of someone who..."

Inner Guide (alignment, not success)

  • Where is performance vs. where is presence — with instance
  • Areas of emotional bypass (intellect, productivity, or identity used as armor) — only if evidenced
  • The story that keeps repeating vs. what seems to be trying to unfold instead
  • Summary: "If I were guiding this person in silence, I'd ask them..."

CONTRAST & INTEGRATION:

  • Where do the five lenses align?
  • Where do they contradict each other?
  • What do all five miss or avoid seeing?
  • What's the most underdeveloped layer?
  • Where is there overcompensation, and for what?

FINAL REFLECTION: "The Story I Tell vs. The Story I Hide"

  • The narrative put out into the world
  • The less comfortable pattern underneath it
  • The gap between the two, and what maintaining that gap costs vs. what closing it might give

INSTRUCTIONS TO THE EVALUATOR:

  • Clarity over politeness. No flattery, no softening.
  • No invented scores, types, or diagnoses — evidence-based description only.
  • Every claim traces to a real instance from the conversation history. If there isn't one, don't make the claim.

KTM 390 ADV (now 349cc) vs waiting for the Dominar X ADV. Should you wait, or should you buy the KTM?

Recurring question here: KTM dropped the 390 Adventure to 349cc, the Dominar X ADV launches around August, so buy now or wait? And the follow-up everyone raises: won't Bajaj cannibalise its own sales since it owns both brands?

https://preview.redd.it/9cv6ey95zm4h1.png?width=1086&format=png&auto=webp&s=3b77c2a3180d9e3bba857c38fd000bda114e31c2

Wrong frame. Here's the actual logic with numbers.

1. Bajaj doesn't own a stake in KTM. It owns KTM.

The old story was Bajaj as a minority investor sitting on ~48% of KTM AG. That ended last November. Bajaj Auto, through its Netherlands arm, took sole control of the holding company and a 74.9% stake in the parent. KTM, Husqvarna and GasGas are now Bajaj subsidiaries. RevZillaAckoDrive

Why this matters for your decision: this isn't two rivals fighting for one customer. It's one company running a portfolio. The overlap you're worried about is managed deliberately from one boardroom, not left to chance.

2. The product ladder is the strategy, not an accident.

Bajaj runs a deliberate ladder: Pulsar at entry, Dominar in the middle, KTM at the top. Each rung targets a different wallet. A Dominar X ADV at an estimated ₹2.5-3L captures the buyer who wants ADV looks and weekend touring but will never spend ₹5L on a KTM. That rider was never a KTM customer, so there's no sale being cannibalised. If anything Bajaj wants them hooked on ADV touring early so they climb to a 390 in a few years.

3. So the Dominar X ADV will be deliberately held below KTM spec.

This is the load-bearing bit. The moment a ₹2.8L Dominar matches the 390 ADV on suspension, wheels and electronics, it kills the premium that justifies the KTM price. Bajaj, now controlling both brands directly, has every reason to prevent that.

What that means for the machine: expect a highway tourer wearing adventure clothes. The undisguised spy shots already show a fully faired body, beak-style front, tall windscreen and upright ergonomics. What I'd bet against: a 21-inch front, WP-grade adjustable suspension, real off-road geometry, cornering ABS. Those stay KTM-exclusive by design. 91 Wheels

For NH touring and the odd fire road, the X ADV will be plenty. For 17,000ft passes, river crossings, and being 500km from the nearest dealer, it won't be the tool. Different bikes for different riders. That is the entire point of the ladder.

4. The 349cc downsize is a feature, not a warning.

People are spooked that KTM and Bajaj both dropped from 373cc to 349cc. Don't be. It's tax arbitrage. India's GST 2.0 taxes bikes above 350cc at 40%, and bikes at or under 350cc at 18%, a 22 point swing. Tamiltech

The engineering: bore stays at 89mm, stroke drops from 60mm to 56.1mm, giving 349.13cc. Output is 40.6 hp at 9,000 rpm and 33.2 Nm at 7,500 rpm, paired with the same six-speed box and slipper clutch. Against the old 373cc (43 PS, 35 Nm) you lose 2.4 PS and 1.8 Nm on paper, with torque arriving a touch earlier. Iamabiker + 2

Real-world effect for a loaded tourer: nil. What you notice is the price. The Dominar 400 relaunched at ₹2.03 lakh, down from roughly ₹2.40 lakh. About ₹37K back in your pocket for 1.8 Nm you'll never feel with panniers on. Drivio

5. The numbers, Bangalore on-road:

  • Dominar X ADV: ~₹2.5-3L est., launch ~Aug 2026
  • KTM 390 Adventure X: ~₹3.43L
  • KTM 390 Adventure R: ~₹4.42L BikeJunction
  • KTM 390 Adventure S: ~₹5.0L on-road, ₹3.97L ex-showroom ZigWheels
  • RE Himalayan 450: ~₹3.06L, the real cross-shop 91Wheels

The call:

Ride hard and remote? The 390 ADV (S or R) is still the bike. The Dominar X ADV won't displace it, because Bajaj will make sure it doesn't.

But wait till October regardless:

  1. By then the X ADV has launched and been reviewed, so you know the real spec instead of guessing.
  2. KTM dealers will be feeling a sub-₹3L ADV in the next showroom, and Diwali is historically the deepest discount window. Walk in with leverage, not before.

The Dominar X ADV doesn't change which bike you buy. It changes the price you pay for the KTM. Use it.

Happy to be wrong when the spec sheet drops. But I'd put money on it landing one rung below the 390, on purpose.
