matriculation dresscode

hi everyone, this may be a silly question but i'm wondering whether it's permitted to wear a double-breasted suit for matriculation.

i'm aware it has to be black or dark grey, but i am wondering whether i need to get a new suit now or whether my double-breasted black suit jacket + white shirt would work. couldn't find that info on the website.

thanks in advance!

hi everyone, i'm getting a custom suit tailored and have my first appointment soon. i'm not super well-versed in black tie occasions, but i know that's what i'd like the suit to be appropriate for.

i'm sure i'll get recommendations during the fitting appointments, but i wanted to get better informed so i know what to say yes/no to, so i don't go into the process feeling clueless.

what material(s), lapels, any specific cut or anything else do you recommend? i'd like it to be as classical (not modern or informal) as possible but, again, i'm a bit clueless and i wanna go into the appointment with some kind of idea.

sorry for my english, i'm not a native speaker!

hi everyone! i start grad school soon (in a cold climate) and would love to start wearing more dark academia outfits on the daily to lectures. so far, I’ve only ever worn DA fits when going out (theatre, celebrations, etc.) but would love to learn how to incorporate the style into more everyday clothing. does anyone have advice on incorporating DA elements without being too formal? tyia! x
