Has anyone upgraded the internal storage on an M4 MacBook Air?

I have a MacBook Air M4 with 256GB internal storage and I'm considering having the onboard NAND chips replaced to upgrade the storage to 1TB or 2TB.

Has anyone here actually had an M4 MacBook Air NAND/storage upgrade performed?

I'm particularly interested in hearing from people who have:

  • Upgraded an M4 MacBook Air from 256GB to 1TB/2TB
  • Had the NAND chips replaced by a board-level repair specialist
  • Done the upgrade successfully without replacing the entire logic board

If you've had it done, I'd love to know:

  • What model/configuration you had
  • Original → upgraded capacity
  • Where you had it done
  • Approximate cost
  • Whether everything (macOS, FileVault, Touch ID, updates, etc.) continued working normally
  • How reliable the upgrade has been since

I'm considering doing this rather than relying on an external SSD, so first-hand experiences with M4 specifically would be really helpful.

In Roja, why did Aravind Swamy say yes to Madhoo?

Geniune doubt.

In this scene, Vaishnavi says "Enakku indha kalyanathla viruppam illa. Dayavu senju enga appa kitta pooi enna pidikala nu sollunga." (I am not interested in this marriage. Please tell my father that you do not like me.)

Aravind Swamy could have just done exactly this and gone home empty handed. Why did he have to say yes to Madhoo?

Suriya's early struggles: Biriyani, bad acting, and a lot of improvement

This is from my memory, based on something my mom told me. Apparently, around 20 years ago, Suriya had a weekly series in Ananda Vikatan where he shared stories from his life and career. In one episode, he wrote about his debut in Nerukku Ner.

During the shoot, Suriya once said, “Biriyani nalla irukku la?” (Biriyani tastes great!). Director Vasanth snapped back, “Nee biriyani saapda dhaane inga vandhe?” (You came here to eat Biriyani, right?) That comment hurt Suriya and made him feel like he was being a burden on the set. It pushed him to work harder on his acting and prove himself.

He was also a pretty poor dancer in his early days. Watch Engenge Engenge or Aval Varuvala — he mostly just runs around with barely any dance steps 😂.

Considering how much he improved as a dancer and performer later, his growth is pretty remarkable.

Throwback - The first Ko promo was superb!

I noticed many grocery shops and supermarkets were closed in annanagar and aminijikarai. There was one poster put up outside a shop which mentioned May 5 shops will be closed. Since I was driving I could not read the poster fully.

I know today is May 6, but they were still closed. What is the reason?

Hello people. I am a vegetarian and I have some basic questions regarding Ayira meen (அயிரை மீன்)

How do you prepare Ayira meen (Indian spiny loach) before eating it?

I saw a couple of YouTube videos in which a lady directly put cleaned fish the fish in kuzhambu gravy. She then immediately started eating it after kulambu got ready. None of the videos I saw showed her removing bones.

Does the fish not have bones? Do more mature fish have bones? What are some of the common dishes made with this fish?
