I'm so over the boring, perfect, 'do-gooder' leads in K-dramas. Ahn Eunjin is outstanding as Mido (A Love Other than Yours).

This is my first Ahn Eunjin show and I'm completely mesmerized by her performance as Mido. Absolute brilliance!

>!I really dislike how blind people are to Mido’s profound depression. Everything that once brought her joy has lost its luster, leading her to self-sabotage her two greatest loves: filmmaking and Namgoong. !<

>!Ironically, Taesung is the only one who truly senses her impending implosion, yet he enables her self-sabotage... Namgoong, on the other hand, is busy playing fixer without realizing she is fundamentally breaking down. !<

>!I hope the drama moves past the surface-level romance to genuinely explore her depression and grant her much-needed healing.!<

Dedications like this make me lose interest... Anyone else feel the same?

Pet peeve. I don't like dedications like these, or when pop culture is inserted into a book.

Book : Star Mother by Charlie N. Holmberg.

Cold & ruthless FMC who's not a hero and doesn't act like one.

Don't care for books where a badass FMC turns into a doormat as soon as she meets or falls in love with the MMC.

Looking for a book with a complex FMC who is emotionally mature, and knows she's a morally grey person. Bonus points if she smirks & has scary glares :)

Not interested in books where either of the leads are written as foolish or immature. Would be fun to read if the MMC is the polar opposite of FMC.

However, I also love a morally grey MMC, provided it follows an enemies-to-lovers trope. They can try to kill each other and what not, but not interested in The Cruel Prince (The Folk of the Air) immature bullying trope.

Please do not recommend books with dubcon/non-con situations between the protagonists.

Thank you.

[ Fantasy Books I've enjoyed reading:

The Everlasting by Alix E. Harrow, Song of the Lioness series by Tamora Pierce, Red City by Marie Lu, Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo, Darkness Births the Stars by Sarah Lee Wohn, An Unkindness of Magicians by Kat Howard, Silvercloak by L. K. Steven, Winter Gods & Serpents by Wendy Heiss, A Tower of Half-Truths by N.J. Prynne, Long Live Evil by Sarah Rees Brennan, The Curse of Broken Shadows by Laura Winter, Furyborn series by Claire Legrand, The Serpent and the Wings of Night by Carissa Broadbent, Blood Mercy by Vela Roth, Wooing the Witch Queen by Stephanie Burgis, Best Served Cold by Joe Abercrombie, Steel and Fire Series by Jordan Rivet, Warbreaker by Brandon Sanderson, Spinning Silver by Naomi Novik, The Remnant Chronicles by Mary E. Pearson, A King so Cold by Ella Fields, A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas, Divine Rivals by Rebecca Ross, Magic Bites by Ilona Andrews, Forest of Dreams and Whispers by Katherine Macdonald, Reign & Ruin by J.D. Evans, The Queen's Blade by Evelyn Ward.

Edit: I've read most of the YA books from this list when I was a teen. Hence currently looking for books with adult main characters! ]
