sliding on loose rock on ramp

recently created a retaining wall along side of our house, trying to add a ramp in the middle of it which will let us pull up carts and other equipment. Initially put down landscape fabric topped with 3 /4 clear stone, which I learned later does not compact well, so it was like a waterslide and we could barely even walk up it. So now I’ve removed most of the stone down to the fabric, and am wondering what the best product is to put down that we can compact for a more stable walking surface.

rusty connections on propane tank

120ga propane tank just installed, feeds gas fireplace insert. there is a tee for use with 7500W portable generator for emergencies. have noticed some corrosion on some of the connections, wanted to know:

  1. did the installer use the right materials for the fittings?

  2. if #1 is yes, then how to go about protecting from further corrosion?

Replacing rotten board behind chimney

In process of replacing chimney, discovered piece of wet wood due to inadequate flashing around old chimney.

How to go about replacing this wood before continuing chimney project? Unsure if it is a rafter or just a piece put on top of that to affix the flashing to. Unsure if can cut out just that section to replace or if need to maybe sister another piece as a repair?

No attic (vaulted ceiling) so any repairs if made from inside would be in approximate area shown. Unless can fix from the outside.

This is not a DIY post. I’m just trying to get info that I can forward to possible contractors to fix.
