Online resource for solo (footwork and/or body control)

Hola Bachater@s,

Would you happen to know of an online course with a great solo section? I also would like to send in videos every once a while to receive feedback.

Also I wonder if I should look into online courses of other solo dances like hiphop/afro as they have many elements used in bachata. These probably won't have any footwork lessons but I can imagine their bodywork lesson could be much more in depth.

If anyone have tips or advice, please share your thoughts.

Thanks 😊.

How to take my footwork to the next level?

I have okay footwork. I know to not dance sensual during the mambo parts and I'm currently taking privates to further refine my basic step but I do not see how i can get so good at footwork as those at a jacknjill etc.

They can hit all the accents and even get their partner to hit the accents along with them. Do they just grind away at socials/solo at home to get this good or is there a secret sauce hidden somewhere

I doubt privates can get me there because privates feel more suited for understanding fundamentals instead of teaching me to be super creative on the fly.

So for those who won jacknjills or can do all of the mambo section creatively on the fly, what are you doing to get this good?

I'm an intermediate lead and I want to look better while dancing. One place i can definitely improve is my posture and I have been working on it for a while now. Especially the exercises found in this video www.youtube.com/watch?v=LT\_dFRnmdGs

So now I can start a dance/social with fairly good posture however whenever I do a wave or a cambre then my posture reverts back to caveman posture and it takes a while for me to remember about my posture.

Those who worked on this, what did you do that helped you maintain your posture?

My female friend and I had to make a quick stop and change between events and her place was closer so I asked if I could eat and shower at her place.

After food and shower, I got dressed quickly and was waiting in the living room. She took more time to get dressed and was walking back and forth crossing the living room from her bedroom to her makeup room with the top straps of her dress undone, breasts covered. She would even be talking to me adjusting the top part of her dress in front of me.

Was this a move by her? I didn't react at all and gave her, her privacy but my friend said she was totally flirting with me and i should have made a flirty move/comment about the situation. I'm definitely interested in her but I prefer to take things more formally like going out on dates before going into romantic/sexual stuff.

Was i in the wrong here and have i sent her the wrong impression that I'm super not attracted to her because I definitely am attracted but only respectfully attracted...
