New to Copilot at Work… How do I best utilize it for what I’m trying to do?

I have a ton of employees across multiple locations that work at night. I’m trying to automate the auditing of their timecards to when they actually start/stop working.

My current process is…

  1. Output to Excel a payroll report showing employee names and their clock in and clock out activity.

  2. Output to Excel a machine report showing when their machines started running.

  3. Generate a report in Excel showing which employee was using which machine. This has to be done by hand since employees can use a different machine each night.

  4. Combine all three reports in a single Excel workbook. One report per tab.

  5. I then ask copilot to compare when employees clocked in to when they started on their machines and compare when the employees stopped their machines and clocked out. Copilot readily generates a variance report that I use for coaching opportunities.

My questions are:

  1. Is there a better way?

  2. How do I optimize this for local managers who all have different skill sets and work in different offices throughout our region?

  3. What are some specific prompts that may be extremely beneficial that be missing?

Pentair iChlor30... Annual Failures. What is the best path forward? Pentair unresponsive.

Our pool is 3 years old.

Without exaggeration, our SWG (iChlor30) has failed every summer... 2024 and 2025, and now 2026. In 2024 and 2025, it was replaced under warranty from Pentair. I would submit a ticket online, wait a week and get zero response. I'd call in, they'd find my case and assign it to a local dealer for replacement.

Now to 2026. I submitted a ticket online. No response. I called in and the system continues to say wait times are "approximately 2 hours".

I called the dealer and was told there is no longer a warranty on the SWG replaced in July 2025. She said Pentair's coverage ends 2 years from the date the pool was completed... NOT two years from when the SWG was put into service.

I told her I have a Pentair warranty document with that specific SWG's serial number on it. She said "we've never seen that before. I bet Pentair won't cover it."

I asked her who is the preferred SWG manufacturer nowadays and she said "I only know of Heyward and Pentair. We don't sell Heyward. Pentair has a ton of issues with all of their new product lines. I don't know what to tell you."

With all that... What is my best path forward? Wait on Pentair? How can I escalate?

What other brands should I look at? How hard are they to install? Without the warranty, I'm looking at $1,500 per year in repairs/replacements.

EDIT: Pentair has confirmed they will not honor the 2-year warranty document on the SWG installed less than 13 months ago.

Lesser Known Restaurants - Don Cha and Renaissance

I wanted to share a couple of quick comments on these two restaurants. They’re usually not included in most “best in town” or recommendation threads.

But they absolutely should be.

Don Cha is authentic Peruvian food. Its off Cervantes behind Running Wild. The food is fresh, the drinks are strong, and the portion sizes are huge. Our server was incredibly kind, educated us on Peruvian culinary traditions, and was very attentive. The pork belly melted in my mouth. Can’t wait to go back and try more.

Renaissance is relatively new. It’s inside The Garden food truck park at Palafox and Main, but behind the bar, past the restrooms. I’m not sure what used to be in that small space, but it is decorated beautifully. The menu is authentically French with daily patè, fois gras, scallops with truffles, bouillabaisse, etc. Plates are small and reasonably priced. As a couple, we shared 4 (including a dessert) and left satisfied but not stuffed. Pacing was a minor issue, with dinner and dessert taking >90 minutes, but we weren’t in a rush.

Go out and support these small businesses! Pensacola’s food scene benefits greatly from establishments like these, competing against mainstays like Fish House, Global Grill, UPH, Iron, etc.
