Make this make sense please

Im flying from jfk to atl for a quick family function. I only need a carry on and back pack. The way I fly all the time.

Every electronic I own is rechargeable with a lithium battery. My curler, 360 camera, toothbrush, portable chargers, straightener, clothes steamer, meta glasses, waterpick. Im also gluten free and need to bring my own food with me and have a lot of pills that I take. I put everything nicely in my carry on and backpack.

They said everyone in my zone needs to check bags. I went up to the counter before they called my zone to start boarding and explained I have so many lithium batteries and they cant all fit in my backpack that goes under the seat.

They told me to put everything in the paper bag I was holding that had a salad I bought in the terminal which I was going to secure in the seat pocket because it wouldn't fit under the seat with my already packed backpack. I do this ALLLL THE TIME. So where am I going to secure this paper bag with my lithium battery electronics now?

Its just free balling in my seat aisle which can cause injury if theres severe turbulence. Im not sure how this is better? There was PLENTY of overhead space available in the 8 overhead compartments near my seat that i could have put my carry on in. Before someone says to put the paper bag in the overhead: im not putting a paperbag that I can't close with all my expensive lithium battery electronics in it in the space in the overhead when my carry on could have just gone there. And for my backpack, it has my pills, food and a lot of things i will need during my flight, thats why I put those items in there.

I fly about 15 times a year and rarely use delta, but all the other airlines let me store my carry on in the overhead compartment when I explain I have too many batteries. Im not sure what the issue is.

How much is a replacement key fob + programming in your area

My key was stolen out of my purse at a concert on Wednesday and I have to get a replacement.

Im in NY, Long Island specifically and theres a bunch of dealers i can go to. Ive been calling around to get the best price. My dealer that I got my car from is actually the cheapest at $308 for the key and $250 for the programming. Every dealer i called after them was more expensive than the last.

Im going to Georgia next week to visit family so I called a dealer closest to them to see if itll be cheaper. Its $270 for the key and only $95 to program. Unfortunately I wont have the car with me so I cant program the car there, but at least I can buy the key for cheaper than up here.

So it got me wondering, how much does this vary based on where you live?!

A gift for a future pilot?

My baby cousin (17F) is going to school to be a pilot, shes wanted to be a pilot since she was a toddler and im so so so so proud of her!!!

What can I get for a future pilot that she would need in school or when she starts working?

I was thinking of a custom flight log book. But is there anything else?

Thank you!
