Starter activity slowing

Hi! My starter is around two month old now I think? I’ve baked a few successful loaves but this past weekend it has started acting weird. It was regularly doubling within 4-6 hours and now it’s just…not? Above the hair tie is about 4 hours of growth. It’s hot and dry where I live and has been but my house stays around 70 all the time.

Is it common for it to go through a weird phase where it doesn’t wanna be active? I didn’t change anything I’ve been doing. I feed 1:2:2 usually. Flour is like 1/3 whole wheat and 2/3 AP. I use warm filtered water and a scale.

It’s outside today getting some sunshine to see if that helps 😂 (it’s actually in the shade but it’s 85 out)

New fave from eftm

When the album came out I didn’t think I could love anything more than you and forever but I’m so into we should talk now!

I can tell there’s a few lines about Nate Ruess. Who else is it about?

Ownership advice refresher

Hi all!

I’ve had a horse for over 20 years but for the past ~8yrs she has lived across the state from me. She was bonded with her pasture mate and we didn’t want to separate them. Her pasture mate has passed on and it’s time for her to come live near me!

I’m so excited for her to be close again but I haven’t been her primary caretaker for that stretch of time. I still have most of my stuff that I’ve collected over the years but she has been at someone’s home and not a barn.

Can anyone list out any essentials we need for (1) a long haul across the state for a senior mare and (2) things I need being in a barn setting again? I’m worried that I’ve lost or broken things that I needed before that I haven’t in a while and basically I am just paranoid. The barn owners have an extensive horsie first aid kit so I’m more worried about day to day items or random things one doesn’t think about. Any and all advice appreciated!!

Float room break?

I’m doing a float room soon and I can’t decide if I should take a day off from my meds.

Would it help me relax more or would it keep my brain from shutting off? I’m able to nap when I don’t take it but I also get sensory overload. Would the lack of sensory stimulation keep my mind at ease?

Just for reference I’m on 54mg. I’ve done really well on this dosage and take maybe 1-2 breaks a month.
