What precise scans does FME manuele need?

The process is a bit confusing, you're meant to book an appointment and pay without any guidance on what scan to get? Not getting much responses to emails either.

It says to get a CBCT scan, but what do I say to a CBCT centre to make sure they give me the right thing, I have no experience with this.

Can someone with experience help me with this please? And tell me all the scans / pics / data that these FME providers, like Manuele, will need for a consultation and to offer me a FME installation. Thanks!

$10K for FME, no orthodontics - same quality result?

Sam elkanawy apparently is charging someone $10K for FME, he's in houston. This is quite cheap compared to the other providers. The price is probably because he's newer and just started offering it.

My question is - do you have any insight on whether the final result of the FME would be the same or worse than if you got it done with say Newaz or the more experienced people? Would it be significant or not?

Is there any "high skill" to it really?

Otherwise you may as well go for cheaper options. Let me know what you think.

FME's Splitting Mechanism? + MAD

I saw someone did FME and managed to still use their mandibular advancement device (MAD). They cut their top teeth MAD in half apparently and this allowed them to fully expand as normal, while still using the MAD throughout the entire start to finish of using FME.

How did they do that do you think? Does anyone know how the mechanism would work here, as in how does FME actually split and widen your maxilla - and would that mechanism still allow you to use a split-MAD like this without the MAD somehow not allowing your maxilla to expand or are they separate things?

Since the MAD is split, I guess that allows room to keep using it even if you've expanded a bit, and you just use it to sleep. Would love some insight on anyone that understands this stuff a bit more.

Snoozing for a few hours = whole day of extreme tiredness / low mood

I've noticed a pattern and I wondered if anyone else experienced it or has any explanations.

If I sleep at a consistent bed time with good sleep hygiene, and put my alarm for 9 hours after to wake up (near sunrise time), and open my window to get light in, then go outside for a bit for sunlight. I'll wake up tired like I want to stay in bed, it would feel better in the moment to snooze. BUT...

If I do snooze, and stay in bed as long as my body wants me to, mixing between snoozing and drifting into sleep and out of sleep. I could stay there for another 3 hours (= 12 hours total in bed). Then I'm not as tired in that moment of waking up (although still a bit), but the problem is the whole day I'll get REALLY tired, bad mood, low motivation, brain-fogged, SIGNIFICANTLY worse.

The only variable changed is this "snooze/stay in bed for an extra 3hr".

I'm wondering why it is. I also do sleep in a pitch black room (windows covered), so no light comes in even if I stay in bed way past sunrise, so maybe another thing is perhaps my body experiences some un-natural circadian disruption of experiencing zero light for 12 hours and maybe that creates some jet-lag effect.

Either ways it seems like there can be way more optimal times of staying in bed sleeping that has a significant effect. Like, if I just stayed in bed like that everyday, as long as I wanted to, I would literally feel so much worse and it would make having UARS seem even worse than it is, like 2x worse. It seems like there's a right dose of staying in bed that has a massive impact.

O2 RING / Oximeter - that is accurate, doesn't have a huge light, and you can export CSV

Does anyone know of a good oximeter, that is accurate, where you can export the CSV file or at least hook it up to OSCAR well/ or it has some app. And that doesn't have some huge LED light coming out when you use it?

The Wellue O2 ring S seemed perfect but it just has some giant light that leaks below your finger which I don't really want when I sleep.

Any other ideas?

Finger vs Wrist Oximeter Spo2 - What's Better?

In regards to commonly used finger oximeters such as Wellue o2, or Contec 50 - I noticed that these same companies sometimes offer a wrist version rather than a finger version.

Does anyone know how close of accuracy the wrist version, from these companies, would be compared to their finger oximeter version?

The reason I ask is because the wrist versions seem potentially more comfortable, so if it's pretty accurate, or only like a few % less accurate, then that seems worth it, but I'm not sure.

Blood Test Markers For Methylation Optimisation & Understanding? Question

Hi I'm trying to figure out, for the best optimisation and understanding of how to resolve methylation issues due to MTHFR, what is a list of ALL of the markers you should test for, say in your bloods?

Attached I've put my Methylation DNA panel if that helps. I'm not looking for solutions on it quite yet, I'm just looking to get bloods first to get more data.

Tongue retainer safety for teeth? (good morning snore solution, AVEO TSD etc.)

Does anyone have any knowledge on whether using these, if effective, is safe to do over the long-run for your teeth health? I've seen some people write about how it can shift your teeth, sounds similar to a MAD, except there's no dentist overseeing it so it sounds more risky in that regard.

For example: Good Morning Snore Solution, Aveo TSD

Getting FME other than from Manuele / Newaz?

Everytime I've seen FME brought up I've only ever seen people say they are getting it done from Manuele or Newaz. However on the website that shows all providers world-wide:

https://www.getexpanded.org/?devices=FME

There seems to be 7 total providers. Now assuming someone doesn't mind travelling - is there a reason why people only say Newaz or Manuele? Why not any of the others? Is there anything "better" about going with Newaz or Manuele vs the list of other people - or is there no difference (apart from if it's "local").

I'm international so I'm not even in US or Canada anyways.

FME Providers:

  1. Maxwell Silver (Ottawa Canada)

  2. Murtuza Jaffari (New York/Philadelphia/New Jersey US)

  3. Christopher Kittle (Michigan US)

  4. Svitlana Koval (Boca Raton Florida US)

  5. Sara Abdeini & Sam Elkenawy (Houston/Richmond Texas US)

  6. Jeremy Manuele (Vegas US)

  7. Zubad Newaz (New York US)

FME Expander Time In Mouth

Hi, does anyone know how long roughly or a range of how many months you have FME in your mouth once it's actually installed? What's the total length of time once it's in your mouth and when it's taken out please?
