Wedding in the DR with a dress code of “Jimmy Buffett formal” thoughts?

Love the shorts, shirt feels tight in the chest, but also baggy in the back and shows the belly from the side a bit. Good if I get it tailored a bit?

Using a TSP loan to pay off a medical bill for a discount

I have a large medical bill that I was planning on paying off in 36 interest-free monthly installments. However, the hospital sent me a letter saying that if I pay the bill in full now, the bill will be lowered to 30% off. Would it be worth it to pay it in full using funds from a TSP loan? I’d pay the 30% that I received back immediately, then let the rest do its work or make contributions here and there as I save more. What are your thoughts?

Rosé swirl?

I’m wanting to incorporate rosé into an ice cream since that sounds perfect for summer. I’m thinking of making a strawberry or white peach (or both!) base and then making a rosé reduction to swirl into the base after churning. Would boiling down the rosé with sugar until it thickens be enough, or would I need to do more to make sure it maintains its integrity while pouring it between layers?

Got hit with a 10k medical bill. If I’m forced to take out a long payment plan I guess I can cover it, but I’d rather not

High deductible plan with a 10k limit, and I just hit it with an emergency appendectomy that required six days in the hospital. My insurance is covering two of the nights of the stay, even though I needed the six because of complications from the surgery. If I can set up a 5 year payment plan I can cover it, but I’d like a house someday and other shit that should be normal. I may have noticed some inconsistencies in my itemized bill, but I don’t think that they’d be enough to get me under tha deductible anyway. Is a five year payment plan even realistic? Is there any universe where I can get this reduced? I make pretty decent money, and I’m single with no dependents, so that’s a hard bargain to ask for a discount. I hate health insurance in this country so much.
