Realtalk guys, in 2k mmr, as an average player, is it really a looong way to rank up as Hard support? or i am just not giting gud.

Sometimes there are days that i have really bad games where people just run-down defending towers as a solo hero vs 5 enemies sieging. It was really disappointing. Also some days I feel that when we are behind early game causes the cores to farm very conservatively in the jungle resulting to delayed battlefury. I also encountered a PA farmed diffusal first item which I never had seen in my entire life and also got pissed for having seen her skirmishing every now and then and having 7 deaths straight. Maybe it is just Dark Carnival season when players from different walks of life are swarming? Sometimes i just wanna play offlane but I feel very uncomfortable. I usually play ET,Venge,Undy.

Undying level 10 talent: Why pros pick the tombstone cooldown over +decay damage?

I really noticed that they get the tomb talent over the decay damage. What is the rationale behind this shift? Undying decay level 4 with decay talent can instantly kill the range creep. Why are the pros picking the other one? Anybody can explain?

How to defend high ground efficiently? (Support POV)

How do you defend high ground sieges effectively? Why i always lose when my opponents pick super late game carries in which you cant deal with them (eg. debuff immune abilities like Jugg and Lifestealer). How do you deal with these guys? They will just spin or rage while hitting structures. As a support, it is really difficult to control these guys in my sub 2k mmr SEA bracket. Do you just pick support heroes like Jakiro or Shadow Shaman to melt structures early to do sieging early?

How do you play against a heavily farmed sniper as a support hero?

As a support, how do you deal with long ranged physical damage? If I am playing venge, its even hard to swap sniper because when you walk towards him, you will have to suffer his hits horribly. maybe nyx assassin can do the trick. i just don't know how to counter the hoho-haha abomination. any tips in 1.8k to 2k mmr for this? thanks.

Getting pissed because of in-demand role queue of hard support and offlane. so hard to adjust. Support lover people, what did you do to git gud on offlane heroes and adapting to shifting gears when offlane is assigned to you?

As time goes by, my mind just cannot do adapting to offlane. sometimes i have massive winstreaks on my favorite support heroes, then whooosh the matchmaker assigns me to offlane which i am not that very good with. guys, what did you do to become a good offlaner, did you train in the hyperbolic time chamber of offlaning? I am really down and feeling sad about losing many times as offlane due to the lane getting stomped by killing potential heroes such as drow, jugg, snip in which i don't know how to lane against with. my mmr is 1.8-2k bouncing back and forth. what should i do to please the offlane gods?

Why ratting as a support feels so not optimal and why is it also outdated?

Is jakiro's liquid fire not as good as before, or ratting as a support NP still working, pugna blast, and so on. Maybe shaman ult is a good candidate. I noticed that supports really have to play with their cores in today's meta. What has changed about towers and other structures that made it a hard time to solo games as a master rat? Also is meteor hammer a good candidate to solve sieging problems?

Can you just pick rubick casually or without synergy or good spell steals in my crusader bracket?

Is it good to pick rubick without any good spell steals? With his new curiosity innate, is it good to actually play him? I always have bad experience on rubick coz he looks like a hero with 3 skills only. just fun to play because of his cast range. Any tips on rubick connoisseurs here?
Is he a good pos 5?

How do you play offlane Venge?

As on offlane, you always have that feeling that the last pick will be a carry which will bully you in lane. How do you deal with this? Do you just retreat jungle and play defensively, or do you roam and swap people when you hit level 6? Any gameplay difference from what pos 5 venge, aside from warding, providing vision and tanking ganks? Do i just farm Aghs and Hydra and call it a game?

Can you play Doom without skilling his Devour? or is it a bad idea?

I remembered i saw a comment here in this subreddit that doing Doom prioritizing E and W is good. Is it actually good skipping Q in exchange for brawling damage? What are your thoughts on this? What items do you usually build with W,E build, like echo sabre to harpoon? or SY?

At what mmr medal is considered a good sense of skill player? Why do i see sometimes that in a party mmr players like in Ancient bracket have bad performance and some Archon, Crusader people do excel? Is this some kinda account buying or boosting?

Or is this just always the one who has a very good skilled mid player have high chances of winning? I always am hesitant to play 5-man party because we have varying ranks and sometimes, we are matched with stomping parties, and the games end below 30 minutes. Any motivation that could help me party with the would help?

Nyx assassin and Bounty hunter differences in playstyles

Why i find Nyx assassin more comfortable to play than BH? BH kinda have heavy movements. Is it due to hero design or a turn rate issue. What are their main differences? because they are kinda similar hunting heroes.
When do you play Nyx and when do you choose BH and vv? Invisibility is such a pain in the buttocks in the low ranks.

Why some people gain faster rank-ups when they just want to have fun and when it comes to myself, (a try hard and doing 1-2 games a day)i was losing games badly and have a hard time to unsubmerged myself to tilt?

As I scroll on my friends profile in dota 2, I often find my friends - "X have reached a certain rank". Also, they play like 4-5 games a day, they also have lose streaks but still they rank up drastically. I wonder why this happens. Is this the new Glicko algorithm working?
I also have observed that most of them experience bad laning stages, but they still can recover and take the game win. Maybe i just need to play more and not worry about what could go wrong. Any thoughts on why this happens?

Offlane mains, how do you farm safely if you have a messed up laning phase and it is very dangerous to jungle because of enemy slowly invading your side of the jungle and there are no nearby observer wards to help you navigate?

Hello guys. I always have this problem in which i get dumpstered in lane by 2 harassing heroes and I cannot last hit safely in my lane. I often retreat to jungle to get some recovery gold. its 8-10 minutes and the enemy has reached their power spikes. How do I actually play in this scenario and still maintain my networth into relevance? I feel like I am helpless when this happens. Can you elaborate what to do? Thanks guys. :)

frustrations and experiences in solo queue and party queue

hello guys. just asking your sentiments on solo vs party queue. what do you think are the most a.) horrible things in solo that are not that present in party queue?
b.) horrible things in party queue that are not present in solo queue?
c.) good things in solo queue?
d.) good things in party queue?

i just noticed that when my friends are doing 5-man party, their opponents have varying ranks and medals but the opponent's gameplay are sub-par or underperforming. (or is it just me because i am biased). in solo queue i mostly play with ping only and non-voice. have the quality of matches dropped this patch or i am just socially awkward with comms?

Soul Ring efficient use

How do you utilize this item? And why is it prevalent in today's professional scene? Do you soul ring when your mana is full or when your mana is dried out? Also, when do you actually buy Soul ring over bracers?

Low XP gain problem as a pos 5: What will i do?

I usually play pos 5 and my common problem is i get very little XP. Maybe I am pulling the camp wrong or i play very conservative and play defensively. I mostly play Venge pos 5 and maybe dying a lot causes me to be sacked out of gold and XP.
Maybe I was playing the prehistoric era of Dota where poor supports are common. I really am afraid to take the wave because my cores might get angry. What can i do to stop this mindset of mine and get the ball rolling when playing pos 5 efficiently? If by any chance can i farm the jungle camps of the enemy? What small tricks can you suggest guys? Thanks.

When to buy Essence Distiller vs Spirit Vessel?

When is the Distiller strong over the vessel? I think pros are probably maximizing the efficiency of Distiller. But in pubs Vessel is a common pick against immense healing. When do you actually buy these items? Thanks.
