Intimacy

My husband and i have not had sex for almost 2 years as my undiagnosed issues, perhaps linked to 7 years post menopausal, but also testing for other things with all normal results. Really, too much physical body weakness, Like, muscle fatigue and body aches severe in evenings. Many many symptoms not explained. I have no idea if i have any vaginal issues honestly. I am wanting to resume intimacy, I don't want a sexless life forever, but I'm scared. Not great libido, but i do miss it and I sometimes have dreams of it so clearly on my mind. My husband i think has just resigned himself to thats over now and that makes me sad. Any thoughts ? I am not a candidate for hrt. Anyone else experience this?

Hey

Hey there I'm a Gen X in her 50' who just loves this band! Are there any other mid life fans? Seems to be mostly young folk. I guess I'm young at heart! Still wishing they would make their way to Ontario Canada! 🇨🇦

Advice

Advice

I don't even know where to start. I am currently 53 and was full menopause at 46. I had next to no symptoms for the first 5 years, the very occasional hot flash lasting 30sec but otherwise no issues other than severe depression off and on since age 43. The last 2 years ive had crazy muscle weakness, temperature regulation problems, muscle spasms, brain fog, memory issues, awful sleep, intermittent flu like symptoms, now some new onset neurological issues. Had many blood tests and brain mri and all clear. Everyone is stumped. Neurologist back in June asked if I had ever had my hormones checked and thought I should ask my doctor. My family doctor has not ever suggested hrt to me as i had no issues those first few years and I thought perhaps thats due to my mental health history. Also I have a grandmother who died of breast cancer when she was in her 40's so maybe thats why. I just wonder sometimes if my wacky health issues could be something as simple as hormones. Any thoughts? I have read so many possible post menopause symptoms. Hmmm

Looking for anyone who has been in this position.

Has anyone here decided to send your kitty over rainbow bridge? I feel like we have tried everything over the last 4 months to treat our kitty, vet says we have tried longer than most pet owners and mentioned euthanizing if we chose that route, which my husband is in favour of, the topic of many household discussions. We have tried 2 kinds of insulin various quantities and nothing has worked. Cant afford further scans or a referral to feline internist. The vet has presented no further options. His neuropathy is really bad, not sure if its painful, and he can only walk a couple feet at a time. He cant jump even onto a chair anymore. He has never experienced dka despite really high glucose for 4 months and and still eats drinks, purrs a little sometimes, last week he actually somehow caught a mouse! But he pees in various places in the house at least once a day although still uses litterbox majority of time when he chooses to. Our life is focused around carrying cat to litterbox, ensuring all room doors are closed and nothing on the floor to pee on, administering insulin which is ineffective and we are frustrated that we seem to be at a stand still with no progress. Has anyone else been in this position?

Help

53 year old female I've been taking Allegra 24hrs and Flonase for the past 4 days bacause severe ragweed allergy and yesterday I started getting incredibly jittery, body ache, blood pressure high, slight shortness of breath, dizziness and just feeling unwell. I take other medications too for depression although they say they dont react with these allergies meds. I'm wondering if its the allegra I'm reacting to. I took one last night and I just feel awful today.

Our kitty has not been able to be regulated even after switching to lantus a couple weeks ago. He swings from 30mml usually hovers in low 20's and then sometimes drops down to 3mml to 10mml for a couple days. Just came from vet and shes suggesting increasing to 4 units but if glucose drops low, reduce units, like on a sliding scale. We have been treating him since May with no improvement. We are unable to afford further ultrasound testing to see if something else is going on. We feed glycoadvanced kibble and try to feed fancy feast pate(which he hates). Its getting pretty frustrating.

Weirdest dream

I remember my dreams every night and they are so vivid and often lucid. Last night myself 53yr female, dreamed that my husband (60), adult son(23) who is currently home visiting for 2 weeks in real life, and I were walking in a grassy field and I suddenly became aware that something sticky was all over my legs. I discovered many large square pieces of honeycomb attached to me and it was sticky with honey. My husband and son helped me pull off the pieces of honeycomb and I was so pleasantly surprised to see I had no bee stings. Then I woke up! Usually I can interpret my dreams fairly well but this one stumped me. I have a wonderful loving marriage and great relationship with my son. We also have an adult daughter with autism who lives with us, but she was not in the dream. Dreams are the most interesting things!

Diabetic cat peeing everywhere, vet checked

Good day!

Our 8 year old male neutered cat has been peeing everywhere for last couple months. He does use his litterbox for pee and poop frequently so there is no aversion. We keep it clean daily. He has unregulated diabetes taking insulin but has highs and lows daily. He does have some neuropathy. He has no uti. He eats and drinks fine and some days fairly active others just sleepy. Vet has suggested peeing could be behavioural as he has always had occasional peeing just in laundry baskets since he was young. Now its on beds and rugs. My husband at wits end as he's sick of cat pee smell in house and $2500 vet spent so far and thinks we should euthanize him. He has always been such a lovely cat but it has become overwhelming. I am beside myself looking for ideas. Any thoughts?
