what is the average cost for divorce in the Lafayette area

is their free consultations or how much could that cost?

anyone have any idea of the types of outcomes for someone in my position ?

i am mainly worried my wife will be entitled to half of everything i worked for (she doesn't work) and i wont be able to get another house if we do divorce. i recently lost my job after working there 10 years,took almost a year to find something else, now i make half of what i used to and got behind ,messed up my credit etc. in the process, so its pretty much no way id be able to get anything else for a long time. we have 2 young children also.

Update* I wasn't interested in posting full details of what led to me wanting a divorce here but the comments need detail, I mentioned "she doesn't work" just to get the perspective of how things work when one spouse has everything to lose and the other has nothing. Yes it means something to be a stay at home mom. But from my perspective when she quits being a wife and disrespects me and the marriage by cheating I just can't get onboard with the she deserves half of anything. I know law is law. But I don't know what outcomes or considerations are made when the person that provides financially is the one that has been wronged and the wife is just no longer interested in the marriage.

My wife and I have been together for 15 years , we've been married for 4 years and have 2 young children.

She hasn't had a job in over 5 years, I've been paying for everything,the house ,cars ,bills etc. And we are just at the point where I am the only one trying to stay married. She's a different person,her personality isn't who I married,she had an online relationship, exchanging nude pictures with some guy, planning to meet if they haven't met,idk she claims they never did and the guy's girlfriend says she doesn't think they did (long story) but I completely lost trust after that situation and she didn't care to make it any better or try to work on changing things she was doing. We've been in therapy and it wasn't very beneficial because 90 percent of it she didn't mention she was cheating. I only became willing to look pass it because it was online.

The main thing I am worried about is if I am going to be financially in shambles and possibly homeless if I divorce her. My state is a 50/50 after marriage. I recently lost my job after 10 years and now I might make half the money I used too. So I am struggling to pay for everything as it is I just feel trapped. I desperately want to be divorced but I worked so hard for this house and everything I just can't imagine having to sell it and not being able to get another home because my credit is so bad now since I lost my long term job and became late on payments for a long time until I found something else. This is literally all her fault, and she has no answers to why she acts how she does , just "she doesn't want to be a wife right now" I am so stressed about this entire situation, I am worried I can't afford a lawyer,I am worried she's going to take half of everything I worked for, and I just won't have enough left over to survive

I wish things would work and just go back to normal,but she is making it too stressful and unbearable for me to stay, it's mentally draining me.

Hello need some help narrowing down the best solution for my use. The main question is How does the M2 AVP compare to the Galaxy XR ? i see i can find used M2 for a similar price to an XR. I use both PC and Mac for video editing. I use the PC for more work related task and media consumption. My Mac is strictly video editing ,music production, Photoshop. I have both an iPhone and a google pixel phone. Ive seen some construction applications with the AVP specifically a video on reddit of a guy using an AVP to run network cables in a 2-story house by mapping the house and using 3d objects to mark where he wants to drill holes. i am not sure if the XR can do this. I run cables somewhat often so this would be very useful. i do want to experience a VR movie theater type of experience when watching movies at a high quality. Does the M2 and M5 have any significant differences? I lean more towards the AVP but cant see the major differences for the price. i am concerned about the PC integration vs XR also. I really want to use both Mac and PC.
