Followed and circled by balaclava-clad guys on e-bikes
Hey there just wanted to post about this incident that happened this morning along Blackfriars CW6 northbound from blackfriars bridge along New bridge st.
At about 6:40 am this morning I encountered two guys wearing balaclavas on e-bikes who circled around and followed me for a stretch of my journey. They look more like phone snatchers than bike robbers but still it was pretty scary being circled and followed by them.
This happened once at the junction of New Bridge St and Fleet St where the blank st coffee is. They passed me and did a U-turn, riding southwards past me and checking out the bike.
I continued on and about a few minutes later they passed me again at the Junction of Farringdon road and Rosebery avenue, where they passed me, did another u-turn and rode in circles on the opposite side of the traffic. I made eye contact with them the whole time and was following their movements with my head in case they decided to swoop in. Thankfully they continued down Rosebery ave and didn’t decide to engage today.
Just writing it here in case anyone else uses the same route to be on high alert.
