looking to get treatment for acne scars and hyperpigmentation but unsure of where to start
Hi! 20F, I had bad acne since I hit puberty and as a result I have acne scars for more than 10 years. I don't have acne anymore and only get a few pimples when I'm on my period.
I think mine is considered mild-moderate with rolling, boxcar and ice pick, together with hyperpigmentation around my mouth, dark spots from pimples, large pores and uneven skin tone + texture.
I tried to get a referral for NSC through polyclinic for the subsidies but I was rejected because my concerns are considered cosmetic and I only have 2-3 pimples. According to the doctor my skin didn't look "that" bad 😐 What should I do now?? Should I directly get an appointment at NSC or look for a private skin clinic/dermatologist? Which one is more cost effective?
