I designed a 4×4×4 abstract strategy game and would love feedback from board gamers.
Hi everyone,
Over the past few months I've been designing and testing an abstract strategy game called STRATA.
The game is played on a 4×4×4 battlefield across four layers. Each player controls 16 pieces and must protect their Core while trying to capture, surround, or immobilize the opponent's Core.
One of the mechanics I'm most interested in getting feedback on is redeployment. Captured pieces are not removed permanently and can return to the board on specific layers.
After a lot of AI testing and rule adjustments, I finally released a playable browser version.
I'm not looking for promotion as much as honest feedback from board game players:
- Is the concept interesting?
- Are the rules easy to understand?
- Does the four-layer board feel intuitive?
- What would make you want to play another match?
Playable version:

Thanks for taking a look.
