Weanng feels impossible

Baby is 13months old and has breastfed since birth. There were times I was unable to feed her due to medications and she would drink formula out of a baby bottle but she started refusing the bottle at 3 months of age and since then I've just been breastfeeding her directly. It is impacting my health however. I am getting recurrent UTIs and my Dr thinks it's related to breastfeeding hormones suppressing my estrogen and I'm on a topical estrogen cream and antibiotics that are safe for breastfeeding. But additionally I need to return to work. I don't want to quit. Breastfeeding works for me and works for my baby. I'm concerned because she refuses to drink other milk in a cup or straw cup and spits it out. The only way she consumes it is through foods like scrambled eggs with milk in them, oatmeal, pancakes made with milk etc. What do I do? She breastfeeds for comfort, for fun while playing, to nap and to sleep at night and we cosleep. I'm a single mum and my mother, her grandmother lives with us (I should say we live with my parents) and she's the only one who can help me with my baby but I'm having a difficult time communicating with her as she blames me for breastfeeding my baby and that's why she is refusing the milk. Can someone help? A part of me knows I should stop but as I type this I'm breastfeeding and I don't really want to stop. I have no emotional support at all. Seeking emotional support and advice please.

Uti since April, back to back abx, not cured

I've been referred from my gp to a urologist and since this started I've taken long courses of Cipro, septra and now nitrofurantoin and the UTI went away for a few days a couple times and came back. It feels like nothing is helping. I have used estrogen cream, been taking d mannose and probiotics with cranberry. I drink as much water as I can manage and pee frequently. Currently I'm having burning that persists after I pee and strong smelling urine in the morning when I wake up. My urologist says we can't consider biofilm as a factor yet. And I have to do a cystoscopy most likely if this course doesn't clear me. I did a kidney and bladder ultrasound that was all good, hba1c was good and I have some other blood tests to do like kidney and liver function, thyroid function and CBC.

Can anyone help? I just want to be cured. Located in Trinidad.

This is impacting my everyday life.

Prior to this I would get two UTIs a year if so much and they always cleared up. But since post partum I have had one that took four courses of different medicine to clear and now this one, with never ending antibiotics it seems. And no relief. I'm breastfeeding, 28F. The bacteria in the cultures is usually e coli or staphylococcus spp.

Cipro for 14 days to treat persistent recurrent uti

I'm six days in and I feel awful. I have pain in my joints and my stomach hurts. I can barely stand right now without feeling short breathed. The Cipro was a last resort as septra (bactrim) and augmentin didn't work and my culture test showed the bacteria to be most sensitive to it. The UTI symptoms are easing slowly though. I'm just feeling so frustrated. When will I get my life back? I have UTIs every few months. I just started seeing a urologist. I barely have mental clarity to make a proper post but I just needed to rant about this. I already didn't have much of a sex life for years and I'm in my twenties. It's so unfair that I even gave that up and I still battle this issue. I'm fed up with antibiotics. I just want to feel normal and be normal like everyone else. Instead I pee into a female urinal quickly at night so my cosleeping baby doesn't wake up without me.

Does he want to reconcile?

He left about six weeks ago. Said he does not think it will work out. Already consulted a divorce lawyer and intends to save up to get the divorce done. Two nights ago he discovered I'm texting with a male friend from secondary school. Then he starts interrogating me about who it is and what will happen if we reconcile because during our marriage we never entertained opposite sex friends.

This gave me false hope. He still says he doesn't think things will work out but why would he ask me this?

I'm the one who wanted to stay together. I still would be open to counselling and fixing things.
