Caplyta 42mg morning instead of night

Hi all. My post is basically what the title says. I used to take Caplyta every night at 10pm, but I’ve always had this weird side effect where I almost pass out from time to time when it’s almost time to take my Caplyta again. I’ve been taking it in the morning for three days now and my insomnia has been terrible. I’m not able to sleep until 4-5 in the morning, and I never sleep well. I usually wake up every 30 minutes at least, and probably only sleep 4 hours a night.

Is this normal? Will the insomnia go away? I’m thinking about telling my psych I’m switching back to taking it at night. Being dizzy is better than not being able to sleep!!

Lightheadedness & Diziness

Hey all, I’ve been taking caplyta on and off for almost two years now but I recently started to have a new side effect. Every evening, maybe 4-5 hours before I need to take my meds again, I get really lightheaded and dizzy, as well as shaky. A few months ago, I went to the ER after passing out at work, and they told me it was occipital neuralgia. Everyone has told me it’s not because of caplyta, but when I was off of it for about a month, that feeling completely went away. Now that I’ve been back on it for a month or so that feeling is coming back.

I’ve been on 6 different antipsychotics, but caplyta is my lifesaver and genuinely is the only one that makes me feel alive with no terrible side effects. I just don’t know what’s to do. I need this medicine but it’s so hard almost passing out at work all the time.

Please let me know if anybody has experienced anything like this, thanks all ❤️

I just got approved for the Caplyta assistance program!

That’s the whole post. I’ve been struggling getting on and off of Caplyta for the last 10 months, battling with my insurance. Now I’m getting it for free for the next 6 months!

Am I doing an okay job?

I have this about 9 week old kitten in my care that showed up at my front door. I’m 20 and from Texas. I’ve taken her to the vet, she’s gotten treatment for worms and fleas, she’s all healthy. The problem is me. I just got off an antipsychotic and I’m falling into a depressive episode. I give her wet food three times a day, she always has access to food and water, and I give her about 30-45 minutes of attention about 4-5 times a day. The reason I’m posting this is because I feel like a terrible mom. Is it okay to keep doing what I’m doing? I love her and can’t imagine giving her to the shelter where she may eventually be put down. I’m just afraid that I’m not doing enough for her.

If anybody could give me some insight about what a kitten her age actually needs and if I’m okay continuing doing what I’m doing to support her. I hope this post fits this subreddit. Thanks.
