Applying for a JFIND visa (in 4-5 years)

Hi! There's a high chance I apply for this visa after I graduate. Since this is something that will possibly happen in a few years I would like to planify as much as possible to have a good experience. First I should say that I'd like to do this as life experience for 2 years of my life rather than actual job hunting in Japan so I just plan to have a decent part time job while I improve my Japanese or whatever. I don't know any Japanese (I possibly will in 4-5 years to a decent level).

I'm not a native English speaker. I've been thinking of living in Nagoya 名古屋 since I don't wanna waste my savings by living in Tokyo.
What should I do during my time in Japan? Any specific jobs for white looking foreigners (if that matters)? Anything I should consider as future immigrant in Japan? Thanks!

Anyone studying in Kaohsiung under the Huayu Scholarship program?

Hi! I've been considering applying to study in Kaohsiung with this scholarship. The other option is naturally Taipei however I think it might be too expensive and might not be the best option relying only on scholarship money since the budget could be extremely tight. This is why I would choose Kaohsiung. Would it be a good option as a student? Thanks!

Applying for Huayu Scholarship after studying in the Mainland

Hi! I will graduate in 4 years from a university in the Mainland and I might apply for this scholarship after graduating since my country has relations with both governments. Do you think having studied here my whole bachelor's degree would have any negative influence in the application? Anyone with a similar experience studying in the Mainland before going to Taiwan? Thanks!

Mexican trans individual who has held US visas since 2 years of birth, will I get rejected?

Hi! I'm a trans person who will change their gendermark within one year. I currently hold a US B1/B2 visa (bordercrossing card) until 2034. I'm aware that this administration has made things impossible for the minority I'm part of. I mostly need this visa for flying back to Mexico since I live abroad and flights are way cheaper if transiting through the US.
I have a couple questions:

  1. If I update my passport information, I will lose automatically my visa validity, right?
  2. If I apply for a new visa and get it approved, it will show the previous gendermark, right?
  3. If the new B1/B2 visa stamped on my passport (this time would not be a border crossing card) and it shows my previous gender on the updated passport with the new gender, will I get rejected at the entry ports of the US? Would this technically mean if I manage to get the new visa I would still be unable to enter the US with my updated passport? If I bring the previous passport with my previous name and gender mark would it make any difference?

Thanks for any piece of advice!

Something I should learn from this land during the next 4 years of my life?

I have lived in Beijing for the last 2 years of my life and I will stay here for the next 4 years. I just got accepted as an undergraduate student at a pretty good uni in China (I speak Chinese). I have learned a lot, especially during the second year when I had a Chinese bf and taught me a lot about cultural things, but even "a lot" as a pure foreigner with no Asian background at all is still extremely little and perhaps beyond my total comprehension compared to what a regular Chinese person would know about their own country. I'm lowkey obsessed in becoming a sort of ok-level 中国通 by the end of my undergrad, but besides reading and memorizing poetry, history or what have you (文化常识), is there something else I should learn, grasp or try to understand? Some place I should travel to? A movie I should watch? A not too mainstream book I should read? (or a mainstream book I should actually read?)

I'm basically pretty afraid of leaving this country without having had captured its core/main essence? I don't know how to put that in words.

Foreigners who have lived here for many years and Chinese people might have not have the same ideas that's why I'd like to listen to everybody's opinions\~

thanksss

5th metatarsal fracture (taken 10 days after injury). Avulsion or Jones?

I was on my ebike and I accidentally lost the balance and fell, my foot hurt pretty much for the first 2 days, got better after that period but 10 days later I decided to take this xray just to discard any fracture and turns out it is a fracture!!! I can walk and it doesn't hurt, bruises have disappeared almost completely from my foot (they were on the fingers) and when I walk I have a slight pain in that area. Basically zero pain on the fracture area. I'm relatively young (21) and currently taking vitamin D, K, calcium (I have a vitamin D deficiency). Today is almost 4 weeks after the injury and I use a cane and an orthopedic boot. Any insights please? 😭😭
